AEW New Years Smash Rampage Results: Penelope Ford & The Bunny vs. Tay Conti & Anna Jay - Tag Team Street Fight (12/31)

As 2021 comes to an end, so will the long lasting feud between Penelope Ford, The Bunny, and TayJay. They’ve all met in singles matches, and both Conti & Anna have taken brass knuckles to the jaw thanks to Ford & Bunny. Tonight, they throw out the rule book – and close out their year with a tag team street fight for the ages.

A Bloody Street Fight From The Opening Bell

All four ladies understood the assignment, and came dressed for battle. TayJay brought weapons to the ring, and Bunny had her knucks. The chair won, and Bunny took a taste of her own medicine. Ford would hold the ground as Conti & Jay brought out a table, and nailed a pump kick before hitting a moonsault knee drop to Conti. The table didn’t break, but the face Conti might have.

Ford then grabbed a glass bottle, and smashed it off the side of the face of Conti. Bunny was bleeding after the shot from the brass knuckles, but they pulled out a specially decorated table and set it up in the corner. Ford started to stack up some steel chairs, and Conti was bloody as well. Jay was taken into the ring, but Bunny was the one who got suplexed onto the steel chairs.

On the outside, Jay & Conti set up another table before Ford drove Conti into the apron and got punched in the jaw. In the ring, the Bunny slammed the face of Jay onto the steel chair. Half of her face was a crimson mask but she kept on fighting before taking a DDT onto the steel chair.

These Four Ladies Are As Hardcore As They Come!

Meanwhile outside, Ford was clubbing away on Conti – while Jay got a two count on Bunny in the ring. A brief break came without picture in picture, and upon our return, Jay applied Queenslayer but was driven through the table in the corner for a two count.

Ford pulled out a ladder, and Anna Jay was rocked by it. Bunny grabbed the bag of thumbtacks, mixing it with the glass from the bottle earlier. Jay almost ended up in them, but drove The Bunny into the corner for a superplex onto the tacks! Ford made the save, and Conti would be slow on her save and had a steel chair stomped into her abdomen.

Conti would respond with a Gotch Style Piledriver off the apron through the table. In the ring, Jay applied a Barbed Wire Queenslayer for the win over Conti. This was one of the most violent matches in AEW history for sure, and met the hype that AEW gave it.

Did this rival the Lights Out Match between Baker & Rosa in violence?
