The moment Adam Cole stepped into AEW fans were just waiting for two other men to show up. Bobby Fish came soon after his WWE release, and Kyle O’Reilly had his WWE contract run out. This trio is back together, and that’s Undisputed. After O’Reilly made his debut while he assisted Cole in beating Orange Cassidy, a major trios match was in the works.
Tonight, this trio meets the Best Friends in what could be a late MOTYC. Earlier in the night, Kyle O’Reilly acknowledges the issues with Cole in WWE NXT – and figures he can trust Fish, and will figure out if he can trust Cole tonight. Adam Cole assures him all is okay – but we know he can be a snake.
The Final Match For AEW Dynamite On TNT Starts Off With A Bang
All decked out in matching gear, Cole & reDRagon would hit the ring. Seeing Fish & O’Reilly hit the ramp to Dance Away was a throwback. Chuck Taylor would start off with O’Reilly, hitting a big shoulder tackle, and O’Reilly easily took the fight to him to force a tag. Trent would hit the ring, and these two clashed many times in NJPW.
They’d trade heavy blows, before both men kicked each other square in the face. Fish got the tag in, and already proved to be a better partner than that caveman in NXT. Orange Cassidy came to play tonight and went right for the Orange Punch on Fish, and was taken down – but avoided the floating senton attack.
Cole got the tag, and OC would outmanoeuvre Cole and get the tag to Trent, who tagged Chuck before they went for some forever lariats. Cole & Fish would take Chuck outside and assault, and O’Reilly followed up with a flurry of strikes on the map – ending with a sliding knee and a yank of the nose.
reDRagon showed their tag team chemistry as they kept Chuck isolated. However when sent to the outside – and we’d learn that Dynamite has overrun for their final episode on TNT. OC was hit with a superkick off the apron. Trent hit a Half & Half Suplex in the ring, before O’Reilly went for a choke and was thrown aside.
reDRagon Are Back With A Vengeance
The tornado DDT got a two count, but a cheap shot from Cole got the match back on pace. reDRagon hit a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker/Knee Drop combo, but Trent kicked out at two. IOC was there for the tag, and the crossbody caught O’Reilly. reDRagon caught him with a combo DDT into German Suplex for a two count.
A superkick and the High/Low caught OC, but Taylor broke the pinfall up. On the ramp, Fish hung Trent out to dry over the ropes. Taylor would meet Cole, and countered Panama Sunrise on the ramp before diving onto reDRagon. Back in the ring, OC got a two count off a crossbody, before Best Friends hit back to back piledrivers before The Beach Break landed.
O’Reilly made the save, before accidentally kicking Cole in the face. OC got the tag to Taylor who hit a rising knee. Fish tried to save but took the Sole Food and Suplex combo. Brandon Cutler rushed the ring, with The Young Bucks close behind for some superkicks. reDRagon nailed Chasing The Dragon – getting the win in the process. The Young Bucks came to the aid of Adam Cole, who doesn’t know who to trust.
