VLNCE UNTLD have proved their point in ROH at this point. There is honor in violence – but tonight get one more chance to prove this, as Brody King, Homicide & Tony Deppen enter the ring. They will be met by the team of Eli Isom, Taylor Rust & Tracy Williams – three men who consider themselves as Pure Wrestlers. On Hour One, Rocky Romero joined up with VLCNE UNTLD & EC3 joined the pure side.
There Is Honor In A Great Fight
Romero would start with Williams, showing some great chain wrestling. The forever lariats were found, with two landings before Williams looked for the knee bar and narrowly avoided the Diablo Armbar. Deppen & Rust would tag in and Rust would trap him in a pinfall for a two count. Rust nailed a big scissor kick, and he was showing that he might be one of the best technical wrestlers – not a waste motion from him.
Williams would tag in, and Deppen would have Rust hit the shoulder tackle on his own partner. Former ROH World Champion Homicide would tag in, and trade blows with former Impact World Champion EC3. Homicide would jab him in the throat, and Brody King would clash but Homicide got a T-Bone Suplex in before leaving the ring.
EC3 hit the front DDT to King, before tagging Eli Isom into the ring. Isom would nail a forearm and EC3 followed up with a bodyslam – but King pushed Isom down and nailed a huge running senton. VLNCE UNTLD would cut the ring in half, but Isom wasn’t giving up. Deppen would fail to keep the hold on him, and EC3 tagged in before being sent outside for a Homicide cannonball.
Brody King Closes Out The Love Letter To Ring Of Honor
King wanted to fly, but Rust & Williams nailed Total Elimination. He’d still get up and nail the suicide dive. EC3 was hit with a piledriver, and Rocky Romero was powerbombed onto some chairs by Rust. Homicide had a fork, and stabbed EC3 in the armpit and mouth. King would get Isom with a Muscle Buster, and EC3 nailed a Jerry Lynn piledriver. Homicide nailed Pepsi Twist before Rust hit Homicide with his own cutter.
Romero nailed Sliced Bread like Spanky, and McGuniess was channeled with the lariat. Williams locked in Cattle Muttalion, and Deppen hit the KENTA Double Stomp. Isom hit a Helluva kick and the BRAINBUSTAH! Homicide wouldn’t be outdone, he’s the original, and Cop Killa landed for the two count!
Isom was deadweight, and Homicide hauled him up to be hit with a superkick. King got in and missed a lariat, but Isom nailed a chop before Gonzo Bomb closed this match. What a match!
This match was a love letter to Ring of Honor fans. Countless callbacks and an ROH original on hand had the fans going nuts the whole way through. Match Rating: 4.5/5 (***)
EC3 Brings Adam Scheer To Ring Of Honor?
After the match, EC3 would take the microphone. That match was a homage to the past, but Eli Isom is the future. They are standing in a Ring of Honor, but there is no Honor in what we do – but they do it for the fans. Big corporations run companies like ROH, and the talent are the ones who get failed in the end. The leaders keep their office jobs, while the smaller guys fall.
Brian Johnson & Dak Draper hit the ring, and this was a call to arms. Anyone in any company that’s listening. EC3 is calling for people to take back the industry block by block. Control your narrative, become who you are supposed to be. He knows what its like to be fired, but knows how to get on his feet.
He’d ask them to free the Titan, and Adam Scheer hit the ring with two unknown men. EC3’s men would beat down the men who were gonna be the future of ROH. It’s not an invasion, it’s an awakening. Who knows what is coming to ROH, but if there is a future – it could be ruled by EC3 & Adam Scheer.
