Demi Lovato has finished their time in rehab, according to Page Six. The singer went into rehab following their 2018 overdose and had been working through their recovery for some time. Their journey in rehabilitation began in 2010 but following their near-fatal situation roughly three years prior, it looks like the last stay was the most beneficial for the 29-year-old singer.

In 2018, Lovato had an opioid overdose where they were told that they very well could’ve died if no one discovered their state. They had tried mixed sobriety or their “California sober” approach with marijuana and alcohol is fine. However, in December, it was decided that going totally sober was the way to go.

Prior to their overdose three years ago, they were sober for six years following a 2012 stay in rehab. That period marked a strong run for the singer’s career in both music and film. Demi Lovato would reveal a new shaved head hairstyle as well as a spider tattoo on the side of their head as a way of declaring “New year, new me”.
Over Christmas, Lovato reunited with their sisters. Photos and social media updates showed them spending time with their siblings. Returning to the sober life has been a major move for Lovato after they had stepped back a bit from constantly being in the public eye to tackle their addiction and educate others on the pitfalls.
