One foolish Doja Cat fan spent Sunday in jail for making a bomb threat at one of the 26-year-old performer’s show the night before.
Bomb Threat at Doja Cat Show in Indy
There’s not much to the situation as it involved an impatient fan who wanted to cut in line. Concert lines tend to be ridiculously long depending on the performer and this guy had enough of waiting in the queue. Surprising, right? No one cares for waiting in slow-moving lines.

However, this concert-goer made the mistake of declaring that he had a bomb in his backpack. First, no one just uses “I have a bomb” in any situation as it’s going to be assumed that they have said device. Secondly, the only expediting of the process that is going to occur is to jail, the hospital, or the morgue.
Finally, following the Astroworld Festival last year, violence of any kind at shows is going to be met with the lowest of tolerance. This guy didn’t process any of that. He just wanted into the Doja Cat concert. A number of fans were spooked by the threat and pretty much fled the area. The concert would continue as planned.
After police were called, they found no explosives but carted the goon away for outstanding warrants. In giving an account of the incident to the Indianapolis Star, Deputy Chief Joshua Barker said:
“A fan wanted to advance in line so he exercised very poor judgment and told those around him in line he had a bomb in his backpack.”
The concert wasn’t without violence as Doja Cat stopped the concert for a moment as two fans were fighting in the crowd. Welcome to 2022, folks.
