Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund have reportedly decided to part ways after approximately three years together.

The duo, for their part, had already given signals that a break up was on the cards. They had apparently put up their house that was in Los Angeles for sale for around $2 million.
And given that an offer had reportedly been accepted, outside of moving to a new home, the only explanation could have been that they were getting ready to distribute their assets in the hope of parting ways.
This does beg the question, why did they decide to move on from each other? Well, outside of an official statement, it could be boiled down to the following reasons.
First of all, the two had been experiencing a lot of scrutiny on their relationship. Although this is understandable by virtue of the fact that they are in the public eye, the very fact of the matter is that the scrutiny can get the best of anyone.
In a prior interview with Cosmopolitan, Emma spoke on the importance of trying to keep her relationship behind closed doors. She remarked: “It makes me sad that I can’t have a private moment.
“Because of Twitter and Instagram, there’s a whole other element where everybody can comment on what you’re doing, and no one knows the real story. That’s hard.
Secondly, in any event, the two did start off as friends initially. That does have the added benefit of allowing a relationship to develop organically, but it can also have the impact of creating extra stress when things do go awry.
After all, it is very hard to stay as friends when things do not turn out right. This is especially true, since they recently welcomed the arrival of a child together.
And now that they are no longer in each other’s lives, co-parenting arrangements will naturally have to be set up. Hopefully, moving forward, Emma and Garrett will be able to work out things.
But until that moment actually happens, it is probably wise that they take some time to themselves and work out exactly what they want.
