Tonight we start building the field for the face of the revolution ladder match, but we only know one half of the match. Isiah Kassidy of Private Party is in the mix, and will be taking on a free agent, as announced by Tony Khan himself.
Jay White Steps Through The Forbidden Door – One Of NJPW’s Biggest Stars
Prior to this match, ‘Switchblade’ Jay White of New Japan Pro Wrestling helped Adam Cole & The Young Bucks beat down Roponngi Vice– stepping right through that Forbidden Door. Jay White is a former IWGP Heavyweight Champion, IWGP United States Champion, IWGP Intercontinental Champion, NEVER Openweight Champion.
He’s someone who has beaten the likes of Kazuchika Okada & Kenny Omega for these accolades. This is the man who filled the void in NJPW when Kenny Omega left, and has led BULLET CLUB for years. If AEW signs him, that will be huge… but not Limitless.
Keith Lee Is All Elite
Someone who is limitless is Keith Lee, who would make his way to the ring to take on Isiah Kassidy. The former NXT Champion is here in AEW, and is the man who Tony Khan was hyping up. Kassidy was shook by the arrival of The Limitless One, who is ready to prove that WWE were fools to let him go. The crowd had started up some Bask in His Glory chants, and Kassidy was irate.
Lee responded to the bickering of Kassidy by tossing him all the way across the ring. Kassidy hit the ropes, and Lee dropped down before leapfrogging Kassidy and hitting a crossbody. Marq Quen would save Kassidy on the outside, but couldn’t do anything else. Lee hit another big crossbody, before setting up The Spirit Bomb. Kassidy slipped free before being sent flying with a shoulder tackle.
Matt Hardy would walk away from this match through the crowd after seeing Kassidy taking this beating. Kassidy would hit a cutter on the ropes before a corkscrew plancha. Lee was down for a moment, but Kassidy was barely getting anywhere with his best moves. He’d be popped up into Big Bang Catastrophe, and it was over. After the match, Quen was caught with a Spirit Bomb right onto his partner first – and the arpon second.
Will Keith Lee earn a title shot at Revoluton after this massive debut? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
