Last week, MJF defeated CM Punk. Not only did he defeat him – but did it in Punk’s hometown of Chicago. After finally giving Punk a loss in AEW, MJF is ready to move onto a new feud. But first, we need to hear MJF brag about this monumental victory.
The Pinnacle Celebrate The Defeat Of CM Punk Alongside MJF
First, Wardlow would hit the ring with two cardboard cutouts of MJF and a note for Justin Roberts. FTR & Tully Blanchard would be next out, getting a full entrance with music. Shawn Spears was next, and finally MJF would make his way down to the ring.
MJF would be hyped up as the greatest of all time, being undefeated in AEW, and the man who crushed ‘PG Punk’ in Chicago… twice! He’d hit the ring on a palanquin, looking like an absolute king. Confetti would fly, bubbly would flow, and MJF called for his music to be cut.
Last week, MJF felt he proved he was the greatest wrestler on earth. Better than Kenny Omega, Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole, or even Hangman Page. He beat ‘The Best in the World’, but it was a bit bittersweet. As he laid on CM Punk after the win, he defeated someone who grew up watching. He had a message for Punk at that moment, ‘You suck.’
Jokes aside, MJF has to say thank you to someone who was pivotal in the victory – that being Shawn Spears who helped him warm up. MJF proved he was better than Bret in Canada, Piper in Portland and CM Punk in Chicago. Now, it’s time he becomes AEW World Champion.
CM Punk Has A Chance To Earn A Rematch
CM Punk would hit the stage and call for a microphone. He’d have some backup this time around, looking to avoid a five on one attack. Sting & Darby Allin would be here to back him up, and everyone had baseball bats. Wardlow was called out for a rematch, as he’s the one who truly beat Punk.
Wardlow was responsible for any victory the Pinnacle got recently, and he knows it. He can get out of the ring and avoid the asskicking, but MJF had him stay. FTR would call for a rematch against Sting, Allin & CM Punk. However, MJF wants nothing to do with that. Instead, MJF has a better idea – if Punk can beat FTR in a tag team match, he gets to pick his match with MJF. However, he can’t call on Sting or Allin for this.
Speaking Of Darby Allin & Sting…
Darby Allin & Sting have something else to deal with anyways. For weeks now, Andrade El Idolo has been trying to buy Darby Allin from Sting, not understanding the concept of a relationship not based around money. However, Allin has not been exactly pleased with this – and Andrade therefore has gotten nowhere with him. Tonight, Andrade will meet with Sting – and hopefully finally get what he wants.
The meeting would finally happen, and Andrade was glad to have Allin’s boss. Everyone knows that Allin works for Sting, except Allin & Sting. Sting would say that Andrade can stop wasting his time, as Allin has already made it clear. Allin has bigger things to worry about right now, and that’s becoming TNT Champion. Andrade would make it clear that they have a common goal, as he promises to be the next champion.
