Wardlow has been given clear orders from his employer, MJF. He is to enter the Face of the Revolution Ladder match, win the match and earn his TNT Championship shot, claim the gold… and hand it over to MJF. Tonight he gets the chance to accomplish the first part of this, as he battles Max Caster of The Acclaimed in a qualifying match. Aside from being rolled up by CM Punk, Wardlow has been unstoppable lately – and Max Caster might fall just like anyone else, to a symphony of powerbombs.
Wardlow Brings The Pain To Max Caster
Caster would have his pre-match rap, but that is not the type of thing that can get into the head of Wardlow- even when he was called MJF’s bitch boy. Caster would have his left arm taped up coming into this match, and would nearly end up right in a powerbomb. Wardlow would take a shot the back, and a quick trip from Anthony Bowens on the outside bought Caster a chance.
Wardlow would come back with a Belly to Belly Suplex, sending Caster to the outside. He’d follow and hit a running shoulder tackle, before Caster was sent into the ring… and rolled right back out. Wardlow followed again, only to be driven into the steel steps. Back into the ring, Caster would nail some strikes before being nailed with a spinebuster.
Bowens saved Caster from a powerbomb, before passing off a steel chain. Wardlow would set up a powerbomb, but Shawn Spears would distract the referee for some reason – giving Caster a chance to use the chain to block a powerbomb. Mic Drop would land – but Wardlow managed to kick out.
The powerbombs would follow, one after another. In the end, three powerbombs was enough to put Caster down so just a foot on the chest got the pin. After the match, Bowens would try to attack Wardlow but was dropped with a powerbomb. Finally, Shawn Spears would get involved – sneaking in some chair shots.
Hangman Page Gets His Match For AEW Revolution
Hangman Page has slayed The American Dragon. He’s even murdered the Murderhawk Monster. But now it’s time for the next stage of his AEW World Championship reign – and this comes with an old foe. Adam Cole & Hangman Page both joined Bullet Club around the same time, viewed as the future of the faction. Their careers went in different directions, but now they cross paths once again.
Adam Cole would quickly show up to interrupt the interview between the champion and Tony Schiavone. He’s been impressed with Page so far, and has been watching all of his matches very closely. However, it will have to come to an end soon.
Page would question how it felt for Cole, watching as his friends built an empire. Watching his Bullet Club buddy rise to hold the only belt that Cole will never hold. However, talk of friends would just have Cole asking – what about The Young Bucks? What about Dark Order?
Page is alone on the top, but he knows he’s not perfect. Mistakes have been made, but he’s trying to be the best man he can be. Cole would bring up that in every promotion before now, Page has always just been known as “the other Adam”, playing second fiddle to Cole. However, when they meet – it’ll be AEW’s best, and all will be left in the ring as they truly see who is better. Cole offered a handshake, but as he left the ring – reDRagon attacked from behind – and the true nature of Cole was revealed.
Dark Order made the save, showing they’re still in the corner of the AEW World Champion. Number 10 would not be restrained by security, showing so by tossing them aside – and sending a message to Cole & reDRagon in the process.
Will Adam Cole reign supreme at Revolution? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
