The rise of Jade Cargill has been a sight to behold in AEW. First coming in as part of the feud between Cody Rhodes & Shaq, Jade Cargill quickly drew in a lot of attention – arguably benefitting the most from that feud. Since then, she’s racked up win after win, and is now the TBS Champion in AEW – while remaining undefeated in the ring. She’s been learning on the job, and staying busy outside of the ring – taking acting classes to hopefully enter a big role as a superhero.
Jade Cargill Wants To Take The Role Of Storm In A Future X-Men Movie
It’s no shock to hear that superhero movies are still some of the biggest coming out in 2022. Both Marvel & DC have been putting out some great movies as of late, and even in the pandemic are doing great numbers at the box office. There is still a lot of ground for both companies to cover however, meaning more roles are always opening.
Jade Cargill is eyeing one role in particular however- that being Storm. First appearing in 1975, Storm is a key member of The X-Men. Storm is the first major female character of African descent in comics – which made her a role model for many. Now, Jade hopes to join Halle Berry in bringing her to the big screen. She would say the following while speaking with Bleacher Report about this.
“I’ve actually been taking a lot of acting classes to pursue something like that. If my schedule permits me to do things like that, I would love to. I just know getting into anything Marvel or DC, It’s tough. It’s really tough. So I would love to. I love what she portrays. I love her character. I’m a strong black woman, and she’s a strong black woman.”
Many fans have already fan-casted Jade as the next Storm, due to her muscular physique and white hair. She’s basically perfect for the role – and this would allow for some cross branding between Marvel & AEW.
