The death of 33-year-old Ukrainian actor who signed up and joined the territorial defense forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was announced by The Odesa International Film Festival. Pasha Lee is said to have died on March 6 during Russian shelling while defending his home country.

The post announcing the actor’s death was made on Instagram on Odesa Film Festival’s official page stating that, “On March 6, as a result of shelling by Russian occupiers in the Ukrainian city of Irpin, the famous Ukrainian actor Pasha Lee was killed. He was 33 years old.

The Odesa international Film Festival, in light of this event called for help in Ukraine’s fight against Russia—asking everyone to join the cause in seeking that NATO imposes a no-fly zone to stop Russian military aircrafts. “We call on the world community to help Ukraine in the fight against Russia and stop the war.
We urge you to close the sky over Ukraine immediately and continue to boycott Russia cinema.” They said in their Instagram post, which had a picture of the actor in his military uniform.
Just recently Pasha had been posting pictures and clips of himself dressed in military uniform. The most recent was a post he made on Instagram a day before he was killed. He captioned it “For the last 48hours there is an opportunity to sit down and take a picture of how we are being bombed, and we are smiling because we will manage and everything will be UKRAINE WE ARE WORKING!!!”
Pasha is known for many movies and TV shows he featured in, some of which are Shadows of Unforgotten Ancestors (2018), The Fight Rules (2016) and Meeting of Classmates (2019). Asides being a renowned Actor, Pasha was also a TV presenter, a singer and a composer.
His co-actor in TV drama Provincial—Anastasiya Kaslova took to Facebook to speak about her colleague’s death. She said, “He is an actor, TV presenter, my colleague and a good acquaintance not so long ago we shot together in a teaser for a children’s film. Never forgive!
