Beverly Johnson has admitted that she feels bad for Chris Noth’s family amid the latter’s sexual assault allegations.
Beverly Johnson Feels Sorry For Chris Noth’s Family Amid The Latter’s Sexual Assault Allegations
Chris, for his part, has been accused of sexual assault by four women. While he has denied doing anything of the sort, the very fact of the matter is that he has suffered consequences already.
He was cut out of the ‘Sex and the City’ spin-off entiled ‘And Just Like That,’ as well as being removed from ‘The Equalizer.’ And with the family left none the wiser, as an investigation takes place, they have naturally become entangled in this scandal.
In an interview with Page Six, Beverly said: “You know, anytime anyone is going through something, I feel for them. I feel bad for his wife and his family, his kids. I just hope everything works out.”
Beverly’s comments certainly ring true for the following reasons. First of all, the family is faced with a genuine prospect that Chris could be guilty. And if it does turn out that this is the case, then the family unit could potentially break up.
After all, it would be very hard to defend someone that has been found liable. Secondly, in standing by Chris, the family may inadvertently generate a lot of backlash, as their actions could be seen as vilifying the victims who have come forward.
Thirdly, Beverly is fully aware of what Chris is capable of. During their time dating together, Beverly decided to file for a restraining order on the basis that Chris’ behaviour was violent.
In the court documents at the time, she remarked: “Chris Noth punched me in the chest and ribs, injuring my ribs, making it difficult to breathe, punching and bruising my face and body in which I had to have medical attention.”
The only thing left to do is let the authorities conduct an investigation and get to the bottom of the matter. Sadly for the family, though, this is going to take some time. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
