There has been a lot of hype surrounding the upcoming video game from AEW. Since the inception of the company – fans have hoped to see something new and exciting from them on the video game side of things. Long tired with the WWE 2k series, AEW has a chance to bring something special to the table. We also now know the name of this much anticipated game.
AEW: Fight Forever Gets Some Chants Recorded By AEW Fans
During the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, fans in Pittsburgh would be called upon to provide chants for this upcoming game – which will be titled AEW Fight Forever. The lack of a yearly indicator on this game is a good sign, as AEW won’t be trying to release fresh versions annually like WWE has done in the past. Fight Forever was recently trademarked by AEW, with most expecting this to originally be the name of a special episode of Dynamite.
This will hopefully be a more complete experience – akin to games like Smackdown! Here Comes The Pain for the PS2. Fans would record chants of Fight Forever, FTR, Aubrey Edwards, Cash, Dax, We Want Jeff, Sting, Boom, Bay Bay, and Adam Page. It’s likely this will be done all around the country with AEW – anytime they have a hot crowd on hand.
The Game Is In Good Hands
There is currently no planned release date for this game, though it’s hoped to be coming out around later this year or early 2023. With Yukes at the helm, the game is in good hands – and with the AEW roster being stacked, has potential to have one of the greatest rosters in the history of professional wrestling video games.
The latest WWE game of 2k22 was a step up from the previous entry, but fans are still wanting another contender in the genre. Aside from WWE, there has been Fire Pro Wrestling World, and Retromania Pro Wrestling, with neither being the big budget games that fans are looking for at this time.
