Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Results!
Tonight looks like it’ll be a fun one, and were curious to see if Sami Zayn can escape in a match where it’ll net him the win.
With plenty more to go, let’s get to the action!
Steel Cage Match – Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn
This should be fun simply to see if Sami can escape in a match where it’ll get him the win.
Sami was hesitant to get into the ring, and we don’t blame him.
Drew pulled him in and slammed the door, then pulled Sami off the cage when he tried to climb out. Sami’s second attempt got him to the top, but Drew pulled him down again.
Drew hammered away and dropped him with a chop before he threw Sami face first into the cage.
Sami used the next time he was driven into the cage to try to escape, and after Drew caught him Sami hit a sunset flip powerbomb as we headed to commercial.

Sami ground Drew’s face into the cage, and then dodged a chare and sent Drew face first into the cage and hit a Helluva Kick.
Instead of getting out the door he climbed up the side and was halfway over when Drew caught him.
Drew bounced him around in the cage, but Sami tried to climb out to avoid a Claymore. He caught Zayn by the hair and pulled him in to hit a superplex.
Drew hit a Claymore for the win.
Happy Talk goes south
Happy Corbin welcomed us to a new and improved Happy Talk and he then ran down Madcap Moss and his jokes.

He took credit for Moss winning the Andre the Giant Battle Royal as he shaped him and made him. So he’s going to destroy his trophy, that is his special guest and two helpers carried it out to the ring.
Corbin then called for a sledgehammer, and Moss was one of the helpers and took the sledge hammer and went after Corbin. Corbin ducked but Moss caught him and hammered away before throwing Corbin through the ropes and into the ring post.
Intercontinental Championship – Ricochet (c) vs. Shanky w/Jinder Mahal
Ricochet went right after Shanky to no effect and Shanky mauled him and hammered him down, then hit a elbow for a pin attempt.
Ricochet tried to fight back, but Shanky grabbed him by the throat on the top rope and threw him across the ring.

Ricochet came off the ropes to hit a crossbody for a pin attempt, but Mahal nailed him on the top rope.
Ricochet slipped off Shanky’s shoulders to roll him up for the win.
Like last week, we love Ricochet but there’s no way he’d hold Shanky down like that.
After the match, Mahal ripped into Shankly and Shankly had enough and stormed off.
Raquel Rodriquez vs. Cat Cardoza

Cat went right after Raquel with a kick and some knees before the bell rang, so the ref separated them.
When it rang Raquel ran her over with a clothesline and picked held onto Cat’s wrist as she mauled her.
Raquel hit a pair of fallaway slams and a spinning splash off the middle rope, but Cat hung her up in the ropes.
Raquel caught her pump kick and hit a powerbomb for the win. Impressive debut and we’re glad it wasn’t the typical squash one would expect.
