Queen Elizabeth has been sent a chilling warning over a key position that Prince Harry still holds. The estranged prince lost several royal titles and patronages when he quit the royal family in 2020 for life in the US. However, the Duke of Sussex is still one of the four Counsellors of state in the UK. Royal expert Richard Eden has warned that allowing Harry to keep that key title may come back to haunt the monarch.
Queen Elizabeth recently played no part in the State Opening of Parliament that was held on Tuesday, May 10th, 2022. According to a statement released by royal sources, the monarch withdrew from the high-profile function due to mobility issues.

She was represented by the Prince Charles and Prince William at the event, and the Prince of Wales even got to read her speech. However, Mr. Eden claims that this development shows that Harry and Andrew should be dismissed from their positions as Counsellors of state.
He said, “This emphasises the urgency of Prince Andrew and Prince Harry being stripped of their roles as two of the Queen’s four counsellors of state.” At the moment, Prince Charles and his first son, Prince William, are the only active Counsellors of State in the UK.
This comes after Prince Harry and Prince Andrew were relieved of their royal roles. Andrew lost his titles early this year, after he was accused of sexually harassing a minor. Recent events have shown that it won’t be soon before the two royals are back in their royal roles.
Meanwhile, Russel Myers, a royal expert has claimed that Prince William is being groomed for kingship because Queen Elizabeth considers him one of her most “trusted lieutenants.” At the State Opening of Parliament on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, the Duke marched in the convoy behind the Imperial State Crown.
The royal expert further suggested that it is a sign that he is getting ready for the most important part of his life. He also maintained that Charles “is fully supportive of William being his understudy and learning the ropes with him in order to shore up all of their futures.”
