In some news that straddles the line of weird and criminal; Orianne Cevey—the ex-wife of musician Phil Collins—attempted to use black magic on her husband. The allegation comes from Cevey’s former head bodyguard, Franck Pala during an April 2021 deposition.
Ex-Bodyguard Claims That Orianne Cevey Paid $30K for COLOMBIAN BLACK MAGIC POTION to Use on Ex-Husband Phil Collins
According to the New York Post, Pala said that Orianne Cevey paid $30,000 to a Colombian black magic practitioner to help her gain total control over the rock legend. Pala described the “help” as “some substances” but what she was trying to get was a potion—or a poison. Documents show that Cevey wired money to Colombia for the substances.
When Phil Collins’ lawyer asked Pala about a plan to “poison Phil or give him unknown substances,” the former bodyguard claimed that the plan was for Cevey to pour the concoction into Collins’ wine:
“I heard about Mrs. Collins ask another employee of the house to do some kind of magical things and pay for the services, and in return, put some substances in white wine for Mr. Phil Collins…It’s like how you believe in black magic from Colombia, whatever you want to call it.”
If Pala is to be believed, it’s extremely gutsy—and just stupid—to inquire about methods to hurt or kill the person who is paying everyone’s checks under their roof. Pala says that he didn’t hear about the plan to “control” Phil Collins directly but heard about it from Cevey’s personal assistant.
When asked what he thought Cevey’s goal was in using black magic, the former bodyguard said that she was possibly “trying to empower herself over him.”
As for whether Orianne Cevey ever got her hands on the potion, that part is unknown. While Franck Pala—the owner of his own security firm, Tactops USA—was only Cevey’s bodyguard for late 2020, he knew the former Mrs. Collins for several years prior to this job.
The Pala testimony dates back to April 2021 but was only just made public as the former couple is in the middle of a lawsuit over selling their $40 million home in Miami. Cevey states she was supposed to take half of the cash from the sale while Collins side says that is not the case.
