Todd Chrisley‘s estranged daughter, Lindsie Chrisley has finally broken her silence after her father and stepmother, Julie Chrisley, were found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion. The ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ couple were convicted of a litany of charges including bank fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States, and tax fraud. Additionally, Julie was charged with wire fraud and obstruction of justice. While a sentencing date has yet to be set, Todd and Julie could face up to thirty years in prison for the crimes they commited.
Lindsie took to Instagram to express her feelings on her parents’ new status as convicted felons. “I know most of you are expecting to hear from me on my podcasts this week as I took time to be with my family last week. The verdict is not what I had hoped or prayed for, and I am deeply saddened for myself, my son and my family as a whole,” she wrote. “Please pray for us during this difficult time and know that I will be back when the time is right. Thank you for your continued love and support.”

Lindsie, who had a regular role on the early seasons of ‘Chrisley Knows Best’, also confirmed that she would be stepping away from the spotlight for a while and will not be recording any new episodes of her podcasts, ‘Coffee Convos’ and ‘Southern Tea’. Lindsie’s relationship with the Chrisley family has been volatile to say the least – especially with Todd.
Their family drama became public when Todd accused Lindsie of cheating on her husband Will Campbell with multiple men from ‘The Bachelor’ franchise, including Josh Murray and Robby Hayes. To make matters worse, Lindsie accused Todd and her younger brother, Chase Chrisley, of buying a secret sex tape of her and Robby and using it to blackmail her into lying for them.
Despite the insane dynamic between Lindsie and the rest of the Chrisley brood, she admitted that she does sometimes miss them even though she sees no way for them to reconcile. “In some ways [I miss them], because, you know, that’s your family,” she said. “But then in a lot of ways, I feel like it’s a lot healthier for me to be where I’m at. I need to protect my peace and I don’t want to be drug up in drama all of the time.
And unfortunately I have been the person that drama is always surrounding because I’m not a part of them, you know? And so I’m the outsider looking in. And so I’m always the target,” said Lindsie. Todd seemingly co-signed his eldest daughter’s sentiments during a separate interview, adding, “certain things in life that I don’t think you get past. And unfortunately, I think that’s where Lindsie and I are”.
Although Lindsie has rightfully distanced herself from the patriarch of the Chrisley bunch, she seems to be struggling with his looming jail sentence. But Todd and Julie Chrisley‘s lawyer, Steve Friedberg, have vowed to appeal the verdict.
“Both Chrisleys are devastated and disappointed with the verdict and will be pursuing an appeal. Julie and Todd are so grateful for the love and support shown by their family, friends and fans. They both remain strong in their faith and will continue the ‘fight’ until they are vindicated,” he said.
