    WWE Smackdown Results (6/17) – Sheamus and Drew McIntyre are In MITB Match; Money in the Bank Qualifying Match – Raquel Rodriguez Defeated Shayna Baszler by Pinfall; Undisputed Championship – Roman Reigns (c) w/Paul Heyman Defeated Riddle by Pinfall; Brock Lesnar Rocked the Bloodline

    WWE Smackdown Results returned as Drew McIntyre and Sheamus came to the ring to hear Adam Pearce’s decision about MITB. We feel a rematch or tripe threat next week is coming.

    Pearce pointed out they failed to qualify and demanded a shot, and he started running a promo on the MITB history when Drew interrupted him and promised to beat someone tonight.

    Sheamus countered by saying if Drew is put in the match it’d be one of the biggest mistakes the WWE could make as he cashed in whereas Drew was cashed on.

    Pearce’s decision is Sheamus and Drew are both in. But Sheamus started talking trash and Drew went after Sheamus and clotheslined him to the floor. Sheamus reentered the ring and ran into a Claymore.

    Money in the Bank Qualifying Match – Raquel Rodriguez vs. Shayna Baszler

    Lacey Evans joined the commentary team for this match, and we’re curious if she’ll play a hand in the outcome or not.

    Raquel drove Baszler into a corner and hit some shoulders and clubbed Baszler down with a pin attempt.

    Baszler caught her boot on the apron and hooked her left leg in the ropes and kicked it. She continued to work on Raquel’s leg.

    Raquel battled back and hit a choke slam for the win.

    Max Dupri refused to send his people to the ring because Pearce isn’t giving him top of the line lighting.

    Undisputed Championship – Roman Reigns (c) w/Paul Heyman vs. Riddle

    Riddle went right after Reigns with a forearm and strikes and kicks, but Reigns nailed him with one right and dropped Riddle.

    Reigns went after him for a while but Riddle sent him to the floor and hit a corkscrew moonsault as we headed to commercial.

    Reigns regained control with a heavy right and then ground and pounded on Riddle, then hit a Drive By when Riddle pulled himself to the apron for a breather.

    Riddle fought free and they traded blows before Riddle hit a step up kick and went to work with a suplex.

    Reigns got his knees up to counter a Floating Bro, but Riddle hit a second attempt, off the top rope this time, for a near pinfall.

    Riddle headed to the floor after taking a chokeslam for a near pinfall, and Reigns suplexed him onto the announce desk as we headed to commercial.

    Riddle caught Reigns off the ropes with a powerslam, and Reigns escaped a draping DDT, so Riddle suplexed him onto the announce desk.

    Fueled by chants of “Randy!” Riddle hit a draping DDT and set up for the RKO, btu Reigns shoved him off to block it and hit a Superman Punch for a near pinfall.

    Riddle countered Reigns’ spear attempt with an RKP for a near pinfall, then hit a Floating Bro and went for another RKO Reigns blocked.

    Reigns nailed him with a spear off the ropes for the win.

    After the match, Heyman handed Reigns a mic and he declared there’s no one left for him to face.

    He told them two years ago he’d wreck everyone and leave, but before they leave, he demanded Minneapolis acknowledge him and they somewhat did but with more boos than usual.

    As he was leaving the ring Brock Lesnar’s music played and he came out.

    The Beast returns!

    Reigns had the Usos leave the ring and waited for Lesnar. Lesnar stared him down and offered his hand. Reigns hesitated, and when he went for it Lesnar hit an F-5 and took out the Usos with F-5s to close out the show.

    This was a pretty cool ending and it’s great to see Lesnar again, but we suspect it’ll be the same run as the last time. The WWE loves copying and pasting every couple of months.
