An update in the Alabama inside job prison escape from April 2022, Casey White has been charged with felony murder in the death of Vicky White. The escape had a couple of twists as it was revealed that not only was corrections officer Vicky White in on helping Casey escape, she was apparently calling the shots. Now Casey White has been charged with her death.

Leading up to the escape, Vicky and Casey became closer than a guard and prisoner are supposed to and arrangements were made for his escape. Vicky White sold off some property for over $95,000 and bought clothes, guns, and vehicles. After setting Casey up for an unscheduled exam, she was able to leave the facility with her beau and the couple went on the run after ditching the police vehicle.
The escape occurred on the day that Vicky was to retire from the Department of Corrections, so this was a “Do it now” situation for both involved. As it would turn out, White never actually finished her retirement papers.
The two were on the run for 11 days before a manhunt tracked them to Indiana. After ending up on the losing end of a car chase with police, Vicky White would kill herself with a gunshot to the head. Casey White was taken into custody to continue serving his 75-year sentence for his cross-state crime spree which resulted in the murder of a 59-year-old woman.
Now, White has another charge on his stacked rap sheet. He is said to have received a copy of the indictment on July 11, 2022.
