It’s time to figure out who will be the lucky man to hold the Money in the Bank briefcase for the next year. Since Wrestlemania 21, champions have learned to fear the unpredictable nature of the Money in the Bank holder, who has the chance to cash in a title shot whenever they choose.
Tonight, we will see Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Omos, Sami Zayn, Riddle, and Madcap Moss enter the match – and whoever wins will live rent free in the mind of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. To win, you simply need to climb the ladder and claim the briefcase, a chaotic test at the best of times.
Earlier in the show, Liv Morgan won the women’s match – and would proceed to cash in the contract to defeat Ronda Rousey to become Smackdown Women’s Champion. It’s that easy, and one of these men will have the chance to do the same when they win.
Theory Gets Added To The Match
Omos would refuse to budge from the middle of the ring, looking like he could just hop and grab the briefcase. Before the match could start, Adam Pearce would add another man to the match – adding Theory into the match. Hot off his loss of the United States Championship, Theory is looking to move to bigger and better things – all thanks to the influence of Vince McMahon.
Everyone went after Omos to start this match, and he’d slam everyone down. McIntyre got slammed, before Omos grabbed a ladder, and would use it as an effective weapon on the floor before throwing it over the top rope. Riddle jumped into the front chokehold, before being slammed down. McIntyre hit Claymore, and Omos stumbled from the ring to the floor.
Sheamus & McIntyre traded blows in the middle of the ring, as Theory climbed the ladder. He’d be caught at the last second, and was nailed with lariats and chops. Rollins brought another ladder into the ring, and would send McIntyre & Sheamus to the floor, before throwing the ladder at them.
Riddle would catch Rollins with a knee strike and the Broton, before Zayn snuck into the ring to try and steal the win – but Moss would stop him. A spear into the corner would land, before Zayn was chucked into the ladder at rapid speed. Moss would start the climb, but Riddle & Omos would hit the ring. Omos took Moss down, before hitting a powerslam on Riddle.
Omos Finally Gets Taken Down
Theory would dive into a chokeslam from Omos, before Riddle & Sheamus would spear Omos with ladders before piling them onto him. Under 10 ladders, Omos was lost, and Moss threw an 11th – before Rollins would nearly climb for the win in the ring.
Zayn would make the save, before Theory & Sheamus started the climb. Theory was fingertips away, but Moss pulled him down into a Fallaway Slam. Zayn would spring over Moss, before being powerbombed hard into a ladder.
McIntyre would almost have the briefcase, before Sheamus stopped his climb and nailed White Noise. Riddle hit the ring and was nailed with the Irish Curse – but this just fired Riddle up. He’d hit the powerslam, before the Floating Bro off the top of a ladder. Omos would make his way out of the rubble, and sent Moss down to the floor.
McIntyre would quickly follow, and Riddle would distract the giant as Theory made the climb. Omos stopped him with a double handed chokeslam. Brogue Kick, Helluva Kick, Triangle Armbar, a flying Glaswgow Kiss, Curb Stomp on the apron, and a SIX MAN POWERBOMB FINALLY put Omos down through the announce desk.
Riddle Nearly Makes The Win, But Theory Has Other Plans
Everyone would brawl it out while Omos was down, and Zayn would start the climb – but McIntyre stopped him. Sheamus was set up underneath a ladder as McIntyre climbed, but Butch would make the save for Sheamus! Knee strike would drop McIntyre, who was now put under the ladder himself.
Sheamus would have the briefcase, but McIntyre tilted the ladder from underneath! Claymore landed on Butch, before Zayn titled the ladder on McIntyre. Zayn made the climb, and was all alone – before Moss followed – and Rollins would stop Moss and hit the stomp for good measure.
Riddle hit the ring with a massive ladder, and Rollins would play defence – before a super RKO off the ladder!! Theory would be there to stop Riddle on top of the ladder, and would shove Riddle down before claiming the briefcase!
