Following the family’s move from London to Windsor, Prince William and Kate Middleton revealed on Monday that their three kids will begin attending Lambrook School in Berkshire in the next month.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis Set To Attend The Same School In September
The royal couple said in a Kensington Palace statement, “Their Royal Highnesses are hugely grateful to Thomas’s Battersea where George and Charlotte have had a happy start to their education since 2017 and 2019 respectively, and are pleased to have found a school for all three of their children which shares a similar ethos and values.”
The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge’s Three Kids Will Be Attending The Same School Next Month
The Headmaster at Lambrook School, Jonathan Perry stated, “We are delighted that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will be joining us this coming September and very much look forward to welcoming the family, as well as all of our new pupils, to our school community.” Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will attend Lambrook as day students. However, Prince George may choose to follow in the academic footsteps of his father, Prince William, and uncle, Prince Harry, and board at the school.
The royals often send their children to boarding schools, especially those who hold high office or future monarchs like 9-year-old George. When they were 8 years old, Prince Philip and Prince Charles were sent to Cheam School. Later, both boys boarded at Gordonstoun, a renowned rough-and-tumble boarding school in Scotland.
Just four miles from Kensington Palace in London, Prince George spent the previous four years attending Thomas’s School in Battersea, which costs $23,000 a year. In 2019, Princess Charlotte, then 7, enrolled in the same school as her older brother, while Prince Louis, then 4, went to Willcocks Nursery School as his older sister had done before him.
In search of a suitable school where George, Charlotte, and Louis might start their next chapter in schooling, Prince William and Kate, visited several schools in the neighborhood. The imminent relocation of the family from London to Windsor is a significant adjustment for the family.
The family will also be closer to Kate Middleton’s parents, Carole and Michael, who reside further west in Bucklebury, and Prince William’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, who is currently largely based at Windsor Castle.
