Joe Gacy is done handing out chances for people to join him. He’s now making the choice for them, as they can join him – or be destroyed. Cameron Grimes has been someone Gacy has been trying to recruit for months now – and tonight, Gacy will go one on one with Grimes, and potentially look to break him physically and mentally.
Joe Gacy & The Dyad Work As A Perfect Trio To Defeat Cameron Grimes
Grimes had his game face on hitting the ring for this one, and would get right into the strikes on Gacy as the bell rang. The Dyad would pull Gacy to safety, and Grimes was yanked to the floor – giving Gacy the advantage. Back in the ring, Grimes would hit a running forearm smash – setting up a running dropkick.
Gacy went to the outside, but Grimes would jump over The Dyad to get Gacy. Back in the ring, a momentary distraction would allow Gacy to hit a uranage for a two count. Gacy would yell about no more chances, before hitting a DDT for a two count.Grimes would come back with a superkick, and was ready to hit the Cave In.
The Dyad would once again get involved, with Jaeger Reid getting into the middle of the ring. Gacy would hit the Upside Down Lariat, and claimed the victory tonight. Grimes would have a clear defeated look in his face – perhaps reassessing the offers of Gacy.
Nikkita Lyons Secures The Big Singles Victory
Kayden Carter & Katana Chance are happy to be the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions, but are more than ready to defend their belts soon. Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark are hoping to be the ones to take the belts off them, and tonight – Carter goes one on one with Lyons, ahead of a potential title match.
The crowd was behind Carter as this match began, with her throwing a strike that was blocked by the butt of Lyons. She’d manage two mat return slams, before Carter would hit a swift kick to the face. Lyons would have her legs swept before another kick, getting a two count.
Carter tried for a roll up, before Lyons stopped her in the tracks before a stomp to the chest and headscissor takedown. Lyons would apply the chokehold on the mat, but Carter was able to break free before being spiked with a Michinoku Driver for the near fall.
Lyons would have her arm cranked as Carter mounted a comeback – only to be tripped up trying to get fancy on the ropes. Spin kick and splits leg drop – Lyons gets the singles win.
Xyon Quinn Gets In Over His Head
Ilja Dragunov is finally back in the ring after being forced to vacate the NXT UK Championship, and he inserted himself right in the main event of NXT. He took aim at Bron Breakker, and his coming challenger JD McDonagh. Dragunov was the man to send McDonagh packing from NXT UK, and tonight makes his way back into the ring of NXT – where he was able to rip the NXT UK Championship from GUNTHER by sheer force at Takeover 36. Xyon Quinn is his opponent, and a man who will need to have the match of his life tonight for a chance at victory.
Dragunov would be able to take Quinn down to the mat, before Quinn would end up in a Cobra Twist. Dragunov would have his hair yanked as Quinn got free, before hitting a rushing elbow strike into the corner. A big backbreaker would land, with Quinn following up with a jumping splash.
Dragunov would be able to come back with some German Suplexes, before an elbow smash to the back of the head. Torpedo Moscow would land, and Dragunov claims the victory.
