The Stockton PD believes that it is dealing with a serial killer who has claimed five lives in 2022 so far. Recent surveillance footage seems to have given the police a suspect in the killings.
The Stockton Police Department Has a Person of Interest in 5 Suspected Serial Murders
It appears that authorities have footage from around the time of one murder or footage that caught the murder. What is certain is that the police department seems to be making waves in the case.
So far, they’ve developed a modus operandi for their suspect as all of the victims were killed either late in the evening or early morning and the locations are all fairly close to each other.
In a press release, the Stockton PD revealed the victims involved in this case. Paul Alexander Yaw is described as a 35-year-old white male who was shot and killed at 12:31 AM on July 8, 2022. His murder occurred on Kermit Lane.
Over on West Lane, Salvador William Dubedy Jr, a 43-year-old Hispanic man was gunned down on August 11. At the end of August 2022, another Hispanic man was shot and killed on East Hammer Lane. Jonathan Hernandez Rodriguez was 21-years-old at the time of his murder.
Late September 2022 was pretty tight for the suspect they killed 52-year-old Juan Cruz on Manchester Avenue on September 21 and 54-year-old Lorenzo Lopez on Porter Avenue. Both are also described as Hispanic males.
Despite some similarities among most of the victims and the proximity of the crime scenes, authorities don’t believe race played a role. Often times with serial killers, it’s just the demographic of where they prowl.
The Stockton PD is offering $75,000 for information leading to an arrest in addition to the $10,000 being offered by Stockton Crime Stoppers.
