Win by any means. That is what PAC instructed his Death Triangle partners Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo to do going forward, as hesitation to do so cost them the AEW All-Atlantic and AEW World Championships recently. Tonight, they are in the ring to defend their AEW World Trios Championships, taking on AR Fox and a returning Top Flight – as Darius Martin makes his in-ring return following a car crash earlier this year. We will see if Fenix & Penta are ready to do what needs to be done to remain champions, or if PAC will leave them behind to find partners who care about winning.
AR Fox Makes His AEW Dynamite Debut In Style
Known to some fans as Dante Fox in Lucha Underground, and for training WWE’s Austin Theory – tonight was the AEW Dynamite debut of AR Fox. He’s been seen on Dark, recently claiming a win over Serpentico and is a 15 year veteran – and finds himself in a title match tonight, and could be a great mentor for Top Flight. However, Death Triangle looked dialled in tonight.
Fenix would kick things off with Darius, hitting an overhand chop before running on the ropes and looking for an arm drag. Darius would try to trip Fenix up, but ended up getting a double stomp to the chest instead. They’d roll about on the mat, with Darius getting an armdrag – before avoiding the hook kick out of the ropes and tossing a swift kick.
Dante & Penta would take the ring, with Dante using the ropes to flip over Penta before nailing a DDT and a dropkick. PAC & Fox would hit the ring, with PAC applying a side headlock. He’d be shoved off and ran down with a shoulder tackle, before Fox would use a kip up to avoid a lariat before hitting an enziguri.
A rolling cutter would send PAC to the floor, before Fox would vault off the ring post with a moonsault. Top Flight would launch PAC into a cutter from Fox, before Death Triangle would unite in the ring to chop down their opponents before a Cazadora Splash with a moonsault mixed in for a near fall.
The Elite To Return At Full Gear
Death Triangle would slow the pace down, with Fenix nailing a hard chop to the chest of Fox before setting up a dropkick to the tailbone by Penta. PAC would stomp Fox into the corner, before choking him with his boot. While all three members of Death Triangle have insane agility, they’ve been outgunned on that front tonight – and are just as dangerous when laying in strikes.
Penta would kick the leg of Fox out from underneath, but was unable to prevent a tag. Top Flight would show their tag them chemistry has not taken a hit during their time away, setting up a DDT on PAC before a Full Nelson side slam on Fenix. Fox would get the tag again, as Darius hit a suicide dive, and Dante followed. Top Flight held them in place, as AR Fox hit an imploding senton bomb to the floor.
Fenix would take a super Spanish Fly and 450 Splash, but Penta was able to make the save. Fear Factor would be followed by the Black Arrow, and this one was over. After the bell, PAC had a question for the fans. Do they think Death Triangle is stupid? They’re unaware of the videos and rumours. If there are three men wanting to make a return at Full Gear, that is ridiculous. They know who they are – and it’s very simple. They are Death Triangle, and if they want some – bring the heat.
Death Triangle vs. The Elite would be confirmed for Full Gear.
