The star had been diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma in 2018. This is a form of cancer that originates in the salivary glands, parts of the head and even neck.
And when the news dropped that this was the case, Danner recalled how she looked up towards the sky as though she was communicating with Bruce in heaven.
But for all the trepidation that may have been coming her way, Danner admitted that couples having the same type of cancer is not something out of the ordinary.
In her comments, she said: “Everyone is touched by cancer in some way, but it’s unusual for a couple to have the same cancer.”
Nevertheless, things have turned out well for her. She has managed to see her children do very well in their lives, in particular Gwyneth Paltrow.
Gwyneth has become one of the most successful actresses in the industry, as well as being a leading pioneer in the wellness brand with her company ‘Goop.’
In addition, Danner has also managed to overcome the cancer which had crippled, and it has allowed her to revel in her daughter’s success.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “It’s a sneaky disease. But I’m fine and dandy now. And I’m lucky to be alive.” The fans on social media were absolutely delighted by the news.
