There is always something more to every situation than it meets the eye if you know what you are looking for. According to body language experts, during Remembrance Sunday, Kate Middleton soothed Queen Consort Camilla. Many members of the Royal family were present at the service. Prince William, Prince Edward, Princess Sophie, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, as well as Princess Anne.
The service is held each year, on Sunday, the closest one to November 11th, the day World War I ended in 1918. The remembrance is dedicated to all those who gave their lives for freedom.
Annual Remembrance Sunday – Kate Middleton Concerned About Anxious Camilla And King Charles Close To Shedding Tears
The royal family was gathered at the Cenotaph war memorial on Whitehall honoring the British war dead. Queen Consort Camilla and Kate Middleton stood on the balcony of the Foreign Office, looking directly at the monument, while King Charles laid flowers and wreaths.
The people present could notice the emptiness that the absence of the late Queen Elizabeth on the balcony created. This is the first Remembrance Sunday where Queen Elizabeth is not present, and the first where the Prince of Wales, Charles, is in the role of a King of the nation.
Both Kate Middleton and Queen Consort Camilla wore black coats with three red flower brooches on their left side. Both wore hats and had diamond brooches in addition to the floral ones.
Judi James, an expert in body language, social behavior, culture, and communication skills, noticed what many failed to notice. According to her, Queen Consort Camilla didn’t have the time of her life, as she was tense and nervous for her first service as a Queen. Thankfully for Camilla, Kate Middleton stood by her side, providing support and comfort.
“Watching from the balcony Camilla combined signals of regal duty with some rituals of anxiety.” – Judi James said of the sight. “Standing beside Kate, she performed a subtle smile of acknowledgment as her wreath was laid. And as she turned to Kate on their way from the balcony she threw a rather fond smile as Kate spoke to her. Camilla smiled at Kate for a second time before nodding. Again it was in a gesture of acknowledgment as she walked ahead of Kate in her new role of Queen.”
“Otherwise though there were gestures of open anxiety from Camilla. She looked unable to keep totally still and spoke to Kate at one point. But while looking straight ahead rather than turning to her.” – Judi James continued. “Kate turned her head quickly in a gesture of polite concern. Kate’s calm and very still body language was in contrast to Camilla’s nervous movements that showed the most in the fluttering of her hymn sheet as her two hands fiddled with it throughout.”
This is not the first time that Princess Kate Middleton shows an outstanding class and ability to cope with different situations. People praise her for her calmness, politeness, generosity, and beauty.
At 11 am, local London time, the tolling of Big Ben marked the start of the two-minute silence. Locals were delighted to hear the tolling of Big Ben for the first time in five years. The London trademark underwent a restoration project and is now back in use.
The event featured a march of veterans. The march consisted of 10 000 + Royal British Legion veterans. it included people that have fought in World War II, as well as all war conflicts ever since. King Charles lead the procession and he was the first to lay flowers and wreaths on the Cenotaph.
The service neared its end and included a two-minute silence. Kate Middleton and Queen Consort Camilla endured the whole ceremony standing. As it came to an end, they exchanged a few words before exiting the balcony.
An expert on social behavior and lip reading, Jeremy Freeman read the pair’s lips. He reveals what the exchange of words was.
Queen Consort Camilla and Kate Middleton looked at each other, and Kate Middleton told Camilla, ‘Shall we go in now?’. Queen Consort Camilla nodded and the pair left the balcony.
King Charles took on the role of King in September, following Queen Elizabeth’s death. His coronation is in May, allowing sufficient time for the nation to mourn the late Queen. The coronation ceremony won’t be massive, as King Charles prefers fewer attendees. However, it still requires many preparations.
Judi James, the body language expert read King Charles’ body language as well. What she saw was somewhat sad and touching. Allegedly, the King was close to shedding tears, as he led the procession remembering his mother, Queen Elizabeth.
“Charles stood at the Cenotaph as though totally alone and lost in his thoughts.” – Judi James reveals. “His mouth was pulling down at the corners. His rapid blinking hinted he’s close to tears as he remembers his mother as well as those fallen in action. There was even a micro-gesture of a small spasm of the lips. He showed suppressed emotions as they played the Last Post.”
The late Queen Elizabeth considered Remembrance Day to be one of the most important and significant marks on the British calendar. She believed that remembering the ones that gave their lives for the nation is essential. It helps preserve patriotism and remember history. During her long reign, she missed only a few Remembrance Day ceremonies. Each time it was due to some justifiable reason, the last one being a back sprain.
Remembering the people who died for one nation is essential. These traditions are something that needs to be continued by any means. It takes an endless amount of history to make even a little tradition.
