Prince Harry took a fast exit and left the royal family in 2020. His move to sunny California left his brother Prince William and his sister-in-law Kate Middleton in the center of attention – and this is something that Prince William will never forgive him for according to experts.
Getting the whole attention and being put in the spotlight when they didn’t expect to, puts additional pressure on Prince William and Kate Middleton. They were already aware that their duties will always outnumber the official royal duties of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. However, they didn’t expect to take over everything. At least not so early in their life.
Prince William Will Never Forgive Prince Harry For Megxit According To Expert
After the famous Megxit, when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they will step down from their official duties and move to the USA, the relationship between Prince Harry and Prince William started getting colder. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made several controversial claims directed at the royal family and the Firm on several occasions. This fueled the pressure between the brothers additionally. There was tension present between them, visible to everyone, from the remaining of the royal family to the public.
The Royal correspondent at Vanity Fair, Katie Nicholl, told the Mail that Prince William, the natural heir to the throne ‘can’t forgive Harry’ because he was forced to the main stage before he was ready. According to Nicholl, Megxit ‘moved Kate Middleton and their young family onto world stage earlier than expected’.
“It had a huge impact on him, on Catherine, on their young family.” – Katie Nicholl explained. “It put them in that prime sort of center. This moved them center-stage far sooner than they would otherwise have been. A lot of it was how he chose to do that and what William saw as a great disrespect to the institution and to his, to his family, to his grandmother.”
There is a big chance that the relationship between the brothers will need to be forcefully maintained. As a new king and as a father, King Charles would not want to ‘have this burden on his soul’ of his two sons not speaking to each other.
Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in September was an opportunity for the two royals to reconcile and sort out the situation between them. However, this did not happen.
“The Queen’s funeral gave the royals a window of opportunity to heal as a family.” – an inside source told the Mail back in September. He doubled down on the fact that there is still tension present between the brothers. However, he pointed out that Prince William and Prince Harry spoke and agreed “to put aside any hard feelings as they mourned their late grandmother. They know it’s what the queen would’ve wanted and are trying to move forward from the past.”
A day after the funeral, Prince William appeared to be the greater man and decided to invite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to greet mourners in front of the palace. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle accepted, and the quartet, all dressed in black went and met with the mourners.
“In the end, Prince William elected to invite them. He agreed with Kate Middleton that this is very much the appropriate thing to do.” – the insider continued explaining. “For all of their past differences, many of which still linger, this was what The Queen would have wanted. William knew very well that it was no time to be holding onto grudges or distancing himself from his brother. They needed to put on a united front and pay their respects for her sake as well as the monarchy as a whole and the people she served so tirelessly during her reign.”
However, this seems to have improved Prince Harry and Prince William’s relationship very little, to not at all. The funeral passed in good order. The brothers looked good one beside another. But small talk and a little compassion are not what it takes for Prince Harry to correct his mistakes.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to flee the country. Since then, the spotlight has been re-directed to Prince William and Kate Middleton. But this is not the thing that Prince William cannot go through. Megxit had thrown Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis in the limelight. The journalists and reporters doubled their attention on the young royals since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left their duties.
Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton still cannot get over the fact that their children are in the limelight so early in their lives. And they have only two people to blame for it. Kate Middleton’s biggest concern is her youngest, Prince Louis. In her eyes, Prince Louis is still a baby. He shouldn’t be subject to such media attention at such a young age.
“I keep thinking Louis is a baby but he’s a big boy now. It just feels like yesterday.” – Kate Middleton told at a tour of the maternity unit in September.
People are expecting the relationship between the brothers to worsen with time. And this time might be coming earlier than we all expected. Prince Harry announced the publication of his new controversial book ‘Spare’ for early 2023. The memoir will present a tough read for all of his royal family members.
The publisher of the book tells how Prince Harry went on a ‘tell all’ marathon. How he reveals his most well-kept secrets to the world. People expect the memoir to further worsen the relationship between the brothers, as well as the relationship between Prince Harry and King Charles.
