Four roots, one tree. This is the new mantra of Schism, who dropped a bombshell announcement on the fans of NXT when they revealed their newest member. Ava Raine is in NXT to write her own story, escaping the shadow of her Electrifying father and families stories Bloodline. Tonight, Schism sits down for an interview – and will shed some light on their future plans.
Ava Raine Has A Chance To Be United Like Never Before With Schism
Vic Joseph has known Raine since she stepped into the WWE Performance Center, and asked – why Schism? She’s spent her entire life around WWE, and not one person tried to get to know her until Schism. When she got injured early in her professional wrestling training, only Joe Gacy would text her to make sure she was okay.
No one asked why Fowler & Reid joined Gacy, yet that’s all what people asking that same question to Raine. Gacy would back up this, saying that Schism respects her for who she is. With the attention, Schism has drawn comparisons to groups from the present and future of this industry, but they have unity groups like The Flock or Wyatt Family never had.
Joseph would bring up a tweet from Cameron Grimes, claiming there was brainwashing involved in Raine joining the group. Raine would say that she learned to join Schism based on how Grimes failed to take them down. Next week, Grimes goes one on one with Gacy – for the last time.
Chase U Hits A Few Road Bumps, Duke Hudson Shows Loyality
Despite some recent news regarding Bodhi Hayward being let go from WWE, Chase U remain one of the most energised groups in NXT. With Duke Hudson recently enrolling, they have a chance to hit high heights – and tonight, WWE’s youngest superstar Thea Hail will hit the ring look for some retribution against Kiana James, and take her win streak from NXT Level Up to Tuesday nights. Hudson would wave the flag for Chase U, adding to the excitement of Thea.
In the ring, James would get a fast takedown, before taking a forearm smash to the face. James would take Thea down, dropping her weight on the arm before applying a submission in the middle of the ring. Thea would break free, only to be slung face first into the mat. James was showing some serious aggression, but Thea matched it with some running lariats and elbow smashes in the corner.
Thea went to the top rope, but a crossbody was caught as James rolled into an attempt at a slam. Small Package would follow, getting a two count. James nailed Reversing the Fortunes, and Hudson would put the leg of Thea on the rope in plain sight of the referee. Chase sent him to the back, but the match continued – and James nailed Reversing The Fortunes again for the three count.
After the match, Charlie Dempsey would attack Chase from behind, and Hudson came out to make the save – showing some loyalty, before helping Thea up off the mat.
Odyssey Jones Hits The Ring For First Time In Ten Months
Edris Enofe & Malik Blade had a rough time last week, failing to win the NXT Tag Team Championships from Pretty Deadly – but Odyssey Jones was there to lift their spirits with a party. Tonight, Jones makes his return to the ring after a year away due to a knee injury. Jones previously made the finals of the NXT Breakout Tournament, only falling to Carmelo Hayes in the finals, and even took Roderick Strong to his limits. Javier Bernal is the man looking to shut the return down, which is a big task.
Big Body Javy would look nothing but confident as he hit the ring – carrying himself like the star he thinks he is. He’d try and use his speed, before taking a double sledge to the back. Jones would hit the body slam, before Bernal hit his feet and was run down. A trio of rolling sentons would follow, before Bernal would catch Jones in the corner with some quick strikes.
The dropkick to the knee was followed by a chop block, before being thrown with a back drop. Jones would hit some left handed lariats, before catching Bernal with a running back elbow in the corner before the Boss Man Slam for the victory. Is Odyssey Jones a future champion in WWE?
