Bishamon really levelled up throughout the 2022 World Tag League tournament, as the 2021 winners would bounce back from a crushing defeat to Aussie Open to make the finals for the second year in a row. Aussie Open have also worked their way into the finals, doing everything possible to get their rematch with FTR from Royal Quest on the biggest possible stage. These teams now meet in the main event, as World Tag League 2022 officially comes to an end – and the Road to Tokyo Dome becomes a highway.

    Aussie Open Isolate YOSHI-HASHI

Things would kick off with some shoving followed by some forearm smashes, with Aussie Open winning out on the opening exchange. Hirooki Goto was kept in the ring for a PK into an XL Senton, before a cocky pinfall for a two count. Mark Davis would apply a shoulder lock on Goto, before tagging in Kyle Fletcher for some big knee drops.

YOSHI-HASHI would hit the ring to catch Davis with some heavy chops, before looking for a neckbreaker. Davis fought YOSHI-HASHI off, before a dropkick to the knee landed. An elbow smash to the taped up neck of Davis would do some damage, before Fletcher was run off the apron by Davis.

Aussie Open turned this into an advantage, with Fletcher hitting a jumping kick to the back of YOSHI-HASHI, before an assisted cutter got a two count in the ring. Davis hit a stiff chop to send YOSHI-HASHI tumbling into the Aussie Open corner, before Fletcher would nail a scoop slam. YOSHI-HASHI tried to fight free, only to be slammed again and pinned to the mat for a two count.

Davis would hit some chop/lariat combos in the Aussie Open corner, before a big jumping senton in the middle of the ring. YOSHI-HASHI would avoid the second senton, but was unable to make the tag to Goto as Fletcher rushed across the ring with a kick. Not keen on giving up, YOSHI-HASHI would complete the tag on the next attempt.

Hirooki Goto Takes Out Kyle Fletcher

Goto would hit the Spinning Wheel Kick into the corner, following up with a running bulldog and the Ushigoroshi for a two count. A sheer drop brainbuster would follow, getting Goto a two count. Bishamon would keep the pressure on Fletcher was some running strikes in the ring, before Davis tried to make the save and was sent to the floor.

Fletcher would be sent out next, landing on top of his partner. A brawl on the floor would favour Aussie Open, who ran Bishamon into each other with spinebusters before apron powerbombs and finally bodyslams on the floor. Aussie Open would set up a table at ringside, and looked to send YOSHI-HASHI through with Corealis.

Goto would make the save, before being run into the barricade – as YOSHI-HASHI rolled into the ring. Davis would be caught with a running lariat, but blocked the Sunset Flip only to miss a jumping hip drop – setting himself up for a basement dropkick to the face. Aussie Open would work to set up YOSHI-HASHI in the corner for a sliding elbow smash, before the Inverted Death Valley Driver in the ring for a near fall.

Goto would get onto the apron, and was able to set up a GTR on Fletcher off the apron and through the previously set up table. Back in the ring, YOSHI-HASHI & Davis would trade blows as they tried to find their feet – with Davis able to win out. YOSHI-HASHI picked up the aggression on his chops, before nailing the Headhunter.

Back To Back World Tag League Victors

Davis would be dropped with a huge lariat, but was able to kick out at two. Violent Flash would follow from Bishamon, with Shoto following for a two count – as Fletcher somehow recovered and hit the ring to break the pinfall up. A snap dragon suplex to Goto would follow, before YOSHI-HASHI ran Fletcher down with a lariat.

Aussie Open hit a powerbomb into a shoulder tackle, before a massive slam in the middle of the ring. YOSHI-HASHI would be sandwiched with lariats, but blocked Corealis into a Destroyer to take Davis out and rolled up Fletcher for a two count. Goto would hit the ring and dropped Fletcher with a headbutt, before Bishamon set up Shoto.

Davis would make the save, dropping Goto with a lariat before fighting off a German Suplex from YOSHI-HASHI. Goto hit a lariat to the back of the neck, before YOSHI-HASHI nailed the suplex. Fletcher would be caught into position for Shoto, and it landed flush – before nailing the GYR to win World Tag League for the second year in a row.
