Alabama Man and GF Arrested After Threatening to Shoot Motel 6 Employees in Milwaukee County
The incident started around 1 PM on January 23, 2023 but the reason why they were told to leave wasn’t mentioned. Things escalated into the couple threatening to shoot not only staff at the motel but authorities if they showed up. It was a situation above most of the employees’ pay grades and the authorities were alerted.
Given the severity of the threats and the recent number of mass shootings. Authorities from the FBI’s Milwaukee office, Milwaukee PD, and the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene and evacuated the building. Negotiations began between the two sides and by about 3:30 PM, the situation still wasn’t resolved.
Streets near the Motel 6 were cut off during negotiations. Just after 7 PM, the Milwaukee PD tweeted that the roads were open in the immediate area. The couple was eventually arrested without anyone being injured.
Charges weren’t mentioned in reports as that will be handled by the Milwaukee County DA’s Office.
