In Jackson County, Indiana, an Alabama man treated I-65 North like I-65 South when he was arrested for driving 109 MPH while drunk with a child in the car. Huntsville native Anthony Reed (36) was speeding along Interstate 65 at 10 AM on January 25, 2023.
Alabama Man Arrested in Indiana for Driving 109 MPH While Drunk with a Kid in the Car
An Indiana State trooper pulled Reed over and informed him that he was going 109 MPH in a 70 MPH zone. He was arrested, taken to the Seymour PD and given a breathalyzer test. His BAC clocked in at .24% which would be over the legal BAC of .15%.
The Indiana State Police booked Anthony Reed into the Jackson County Jail. He was charged with operating while intoxicated with a prior conviction, operating with a BAC of .15% or greater, and operating while intoxicated with a child under the age of 18.
In addition to those charges, authorities said that it was possible for Reed to face more charges. As for the child, the police noted that they are safe and left with a woman who was also in the car.
