Alabama Man SLAMMED with 130 Counts of Possessing Child Pornography
It started with a tip to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office about someone in the Gaylesville area possessing child pornography. The tip came via the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. According to their site, the ICAC is:
“…a national network of 61 coordinated task forces, representing over 5,400 federal, state, and local law enforcement, dedicated to investigating, prosecuting and developing effective responses to internet crimes against children.”
A search warrant was obtained and the Sheriff’s Office moved on Freeman’s residence where they found the child pornography. He was booked into the Cherokee County Jail.
Freeman was hit with additional charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. No details were mentioned about his bond or if it he was being held without bond.
