Following a police chase on I-39, the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin have arrested a man for 16 offenses linked to drug trafficking. Jacob L. Gould (33) was stopped by police on January 6, 2023 during what seemed like a routine traffic stop.

From reports, Gould refused commands to stop and sped off, initiating a chase along I-39. At some point, the chase became a foot chase and authorities managed to arrest the suspect. A search of his person and his vehicle turned up 103.5 grams of fentanyl and a gram of meth.
The Everest Metro PD moved on to Gould’s Weston residence and seized 175 grams of marijuana, 63 grams of meth, 15 grams of fentanyl, and 0.5 grams of cocaine. Gould was thrown into Marathon County Jail and charged with possession with intent to distribute for each drug seized, manufacturing drugs, fleeing, and possessing a firearm as a felon.
Currently, he is being held on a $250,000 cash bond. He is scheduled in court on January 18, 2023.
