When Triple H talked about the upcoming draft and how it’ll change the game, many of us took his words with a grain of salt given how the draft hasn’t changed anything of significance the last couple of times.
But now that the WWE released their list of who is being drafted on Smackdown (April 28) and on Raw (May 1), they’ve created a small stir among the fans.
2023 WWE Draft Splitting up the Bloodline?
While claiming factions can be drafted together, the Bloodline is listed as Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa and they’re set to be drafted on Smackdown and the Usos on Raw as, well, the Usos.
There have been signs that Reigns is tired of the Usos failing to live up to his standards since they lost the tag titles, but they have a WrestleMania rematch against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens on Smackdown so they may set it right.
Going to Raw
What’s going to be interesting with this is it looks like Reigns and the Bloodline will be going to Raw.
There have been reports that the USA Network wants Reigns on Raw at all costs, so if he’s going there for the first time in a handful of years, this tonight’s Smackdown will be his final time appearing on the show.
It’ll also create conflict between him, Solo and the Usos if he pulls some strings to send them back to Smackdown.
There are also reports that the WWE is going to split the tag titles, so it won’t surprise us if the Usos win tonight but it’s for one tag title, and then they go into Raw as “half champions” to Reign’s disappointment.
It could be done through a stipulation change where both Owens and Zayn have to be pinned or something off the wall like that. Or Triple H simply stating only one set of titles will be on the line.
It’s going to be fun to see who will go where, and to help set the stage here’s the roster for who is eligible to be drafted tonight and who is eligible on Raw.
