It is once again time for WWE to shake up the rosters of Smackdown Live & Monday Night RAW. Triple H would recently announce a draft in WWE. It is set to start following Backlash in May.
While this will shift around the rosters of Smackdown & RAW – it will also come with fresh faces from the roster of NXT. Right now, there are six names heavily considered to be join the WWE main roster.
Four Former NXT UK Champions Set To Find Their Way To WWE Main Roster
In a report from PWInsider, it was noted that former NXT UK Champion Ilja Dragunov is being considered for the roster of Smackdown Live. Dragunov is one of the few men in WWE to hold a victory over current WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER.
Their matches in NXT & NXT UK considered to be among the best in WWE history. There is talk of Dragunov joining Imperium on Smackdown.
Another man with history against GUNTHER being considered for a call up is former two time NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate.
Recently appearing on WWE Main Event with a match against Dolph Ziggler, Bate is being considered for a call up in the upcoming draft – which is well overdue. Bate is the youngest singles champion in WWE history – having won the NXT UK Championship at 19 years old.
Another set of names ready to be called up who first made their names in NXT UK are Pretty Deadly. One of the most accomplished tag teams in NXT history, Pretty Deadly are two time NXT & NXT UK Tag Team Champions – and are among the most charismatic members of the WWE roster.
They will be a welcome addition to the tag team division. It’s very easy to see them as potential Unified WWE Tag Team Champions.
Cameron Grimes Has Been Waiting For The WWE Draft To Return To TV
The final member of the men’s roster set to be called up is former NXT North American Champion Cameron Grimes. Absent from TV for several months, Grimes has been on standby until it was time for his call up – making him a lock for the upcoming draft. Grimes has been working on getting into the best shape of his career ahead of this event.
The women’s division on the WWE main roster is expected to gain atleast one new member in the upcoming draft.
Former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Zoey Stark has been one of the key names in the women’s division, and her exploits on WWE Main Event have put her in line for a call up in the upcoming WWE Draft. Starks is young, and full of potential – making her a perfect candidate for the draft.
