The 2023 WWE Draft kicked off last night as part of Smackdown Live – but not all eligible names for Night One were drafted over the course of the episode.
This meant that this mornings episode of The Smackdown Lowdown would feature it’s own part of the WWE draft. The supplemental draft would see some major movement – with the following results.
Monday Night RAW Get’s Major Names From NXT During WWE Supplemental Draft, More Names For Women’s Division
Monday Night RAW would gain the following during the draft – gaining three names from the NXT roster and a much needed boost to their women’s division. The following were drafted to RAW during the supplemental draft.
– Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar w/ Valhalla)
– Dexter Lumis
– Candice LeRae
– Maximum Male Models (ma.cé, mån.sôör & Maxxine Dupri)
– Natalya
– Apollo Crews (NXT Call Up)
– Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville
– Zoey Stark (NXT Call Up)
– JD McDonagh (NXT Call Up)
Smackdown Live Gets A Faction And One Female Name – Four Names Remain Free Agents
Smackdown got the bulk of the major picks last night, with the likes of Roman Reigns, Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles, Bianca Belair, and more joining the roster. As a result – only two picks were made for Smackdown with the Supplemental Draft pool.
– Hit Row (Top Dolla & Ashante “Thee” Adonis w/ B-Fab)
– Lacey Evans
This left four names without a brand – remaining free agents, ready to be assigned to a brand at a later date. The following went undrafted from the initial draft pool.
– Omos (w/ MVP)
– Mustafa Ali
– Dolph Ziggler
– Von Wagner
Von Wagner is coming up from NXT, making his free agent status notable. Omos meanwhile is set to face RAW’s Seth Rollins at Backlash – potentially setting the stage for his future in WWE. Ali & Ziggler have been falling down the card, and might find themselves filling roles in NXT after the call ups – with more names expected to leave NXT come Monday.
