Hello and welcome to WWE Raw Results!
Tonight looks like it’s going to be a fun one with a Viking Rules match and Brock Lesnar responding to Cody Rhodes’ challenge. Without further ado, let’s get to the action!
Lesnar accepts Cody’s challenge
Cody Rhodes started us off by coming out looking ready for action in his home city to a thunderous welcome.
After his standard opening, he said we don’t really have to talk since there’s a large shadow looming over him wherever he goes and it’s Brock Lesnar.
He said instead, Lesnar should come to the ring to accept his challenge for a match at SummerSlam and demanded Lesnar come out right then and there.
Lesnar stood him up and Cody went on about how it doesn’t matter when he shows up but it won’t matter because he’ll still be in the ring waiting for him.
He pointed out his mother is in the front row and wishes he could do it like his dad, but he’s more like his mother, who taught him to get out of the mud.

He then said his and Lesnar’s relationship is complicated and the best way he can think of describing it is “hard times.” But when Lesnar shows up it’ll be hard time for Lesnar and not him.
With that, Cody signed off for the moment and wished everyone to enjoy Raw.
As Cody hugged his mom Lesnar’s music played and as Cody waited, the music stopped. Cody headed up the ring and he music started again, but no Lesnar so he headed backstage.
A chair flew out and Lesnar threw Cody onto the ramp and beat him with the chair down the ramp and threw him into the ring apron.
Lesnar drove him into the ring post and F-5’d him on the floor in front of his mom and then locked in the Kamura Lock for a few seconds before rolling him into the ring.
Lesnar locked it on again and stood over Cody to accept his challenge.
Matt Riddle vs. GUNTHER w/Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser, Giovanni Vinci)
With Vinci and Kaiser banned from ringside, Riddle stands a solid chance in this one, though early on GUNTHER controlled the flow.
Riddle fought back and slipped out of a sleeper for an armbar that led to GUNTHER countering it into a pin attempt.

On the floor, GUNTHER caught Riddle in mid air with a right and then body slammed him before they traded chops in the ring.
GUNTHER unloaded on Riddle with a release German suplex and clothesline for a near pinfall.
Riddle went for a Floating Bro but GUNTHER got his knees up and ended it with a power bomb and stacking Riddle up.
After the match, GUNTHER stood on the announce desk and told the fans they can boo him as much as they want but it won’t change the fact this is the greatest night of their lives because they came to see the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time.
He announced he’s moving on from Riddle and is building a legacy, and then challenged Drew McIntyre to ride his coat tails before falling victim to the Ring General.
