Since her debut for All Elite Wrestling in 2021, Jade Cargill has been one of the most dominant names in the company. Becoming the first ever TBS Champion and getting a 61-0 winning streak, Jade has very little to prove even after her first loss.
She has been out of action for a while now – taking time off after Double Or Nothing 2023, but has stayed in constant contact with Tony Khan.
There Is Nowhere Else Jade Cargill Would Rather Be
During an interview with Women’s Wrestling Talk, Jade Cargill would be asked about working for Tony Khan. Jade had the following to say.
“I am, always. He’s a phenomenal boss. I can literally hit him up now and he’d probably hit me back up in three minutes. This is a man who has four companies, a professional soccer team, Jacksonville Jaguars, he’s busy, but he literally comes to every show. He’s so passionate, he loves our company. There’s no other place I’d want to be. He doesn’t look at me as a number, he looks at me like a human being. He knows my journey and understands my purpose in the wrestling community and what I want to achieve and I don’t think you can beat that. You can’t beat this in a very interesting sport.”
Jade vs. Statlander II Is A PPV Ready Match For AEW
Fans are eagerly awaiting the return of Jade to AEW programming, after her loss at Double Or Nothing 2023. That night saw Jade wrestle twice, defeating Taya Valkyrie before losing the TBS Championship to a returning Kris Statlander.
Since then, Statlander has made many defenses as champion – but is awaiting her rematch with Jade, to prove her title win was not a fluke.
This is an instant PPV match for AEW – given how Statlander has been treated as champion. She’s been the strongest booked woman in the division since Double Or Nothing, and her hard hitting match against Emi Sakura on AEW Dynamite showed she has no intentions of slowing down soon. AEW has two PPV events set for the remainder of 2023, those being WrestleDream and Full Gear.
