One of the greatest tag team feuds in NJPW history came between The Young Bucks & Roppongi Vice. Now, this feud will rekindle in AEW – as these two teams meet once again now in AEW. This match was set for earlier this year, but Rocky Romero tested positive for COVID-19 – but is now back to 100% and ready to go.
Roppongi Vice Get Some Very Nice, Very Evil Aid From Danhausen
This one started fast with Trent & Nick in the ring, with Nick hitting the ropes and running into a hard back elbow. He’d roll to the floor, where Romero hit a hurricanrana and sent him right back into the ring. Matt tagged in just to take a rising knee and lariat. Nick made the save on the pin, before both Bucks took running lariats.
Trent carried Romero as he hit a knee strike on Matt in the corner, before RPG Vice hit a double knee strike. The Young Bucks would seemingly quit the match, and headed up to the ramp – only for RPG Vice to run into a superkick party on the stage. Romero would make it back to the ring to break the ten count, only to take a combination neckbreaker.
Trent would be sent back to the floor with a dropkick, before Nick hit a big springboard moonsault to the outside. Orange Cassidy would flee under the ring, and when The Young Bucks pulled him out – they found Danhausen instead. Apparently he’s potentially part of CHAOS now, as he cursed The Young Bucks – allowing RPG Vice to hit a tandem dive to the outside.
In the ring, Romero would hit Matt with a running Sliced Bread, getting a two count. The Young Bucks would bait Romero to the outside, where Nick hit a PK. Trent would soon follow, before The Young Bucks caught RPG Vice with tandem apron powerbombs. Matt would take the corner of RPG Vice and hype up a delirious Romero up for a tag – before running him down with a lariat.
Jay White Joins The Young Bucks Following The Bell
The Young Bucks hugged it out in the ring, before Romero hit a two for one hurricanrana and got the tag to Trent. A half & half suplex would drop Matt before a second on the floor. Nick took the Knee Strike Doomsday Device on the floor, and back in the ring – he’d manage to kick out at two.
RPG Vice would hit tandem German Suplexes before running into superkicks. They’d bounce off the ropes with some comebacker lariats. Romero nailed a back heel kick before nearly being hit with the Indytaker, but blocked into a roll up. RPG Vice would use a tag to block More Bang For Your Buck – with Trent getting Matt with Strong Zero, but Nick made the last second save.
RPG Vice would set up a Doomsday Device, only for Nick to land on his feet. Indytaker would land, but Romero was able to save Trent at the last second. However, BTE Trigger on Romero would land – and this one was over. After the match, Brandon Cutler would be taken down by an Orange Punch from Orange Cassidy. Trent saved OC after a superkick, only to take the Blade Runner from Jay White.
