When you have a net worth of more than $250 billion you can do anything. A great example of this is the most popular businessman in the world, Elon Musk.
Recently he bought the social media platform Twitter in a more-or-less hostile way. He threatened employees, wrote tweets about some of them, spoke about their incompetence, etc.
Elon Musk Wants To Buy Coca-Cola Next And Put Cocaine Back In It
Now he teases his fellow fans and followers that his next plan is to invest in Coca-Cola. Teasingly he tweeted: “Next I’m buying Coca-Cola to put the cocaine back in.” Only hours later the tweet got an astonishing 2.2 million likes and 400k retweets on the platform.
It is widely known that the soda drink, when first developed back in the 1800s’ had a hidden ingredient in its recipe. That ingredient was cocaine. This drink was giving you a major boost in concentration, and focus and was making you overly excited. Who wouldn’t want a drink like that?
According to some analysts, this can be easily done. He certainly has the wealth to do it. His fortune is currently standing at a bewildering $250 billion. He only needs a couple more billion and this might get true. The Coca-Cola Company has been estimated to be worth around $260 billion.
Even though this clearly is a joke, you cannot be too sure when Elon is in question. The cybercitizens of Twitter took this post for granted and immediately started retweeting and imagining what this would be like if actually happened. After his tweet, the hashtags #CocaCola and #ElonMusk started a new trend and became one of the most used hashtags in the past day.
The last time when he joked about something like this – it was a ‘joke’ regarding the content moderation policies of Twitter.
Several weeks later he is really taking over the platform and he is introducing these amendments to the censure policies that they have.
Nevertheless, he has past tweets similar to these which never got to come true. “I am buying Mcdonald’s and I am fixing all the ice cream machines.” – yet another post from the giant.
He recently retweeted this past tweet with the caption “Listen, I can’t do miracles, ok?” Needless to say, this started a new trend of memes on the internet, glorifying the businessman greatly.
“Now that I bought Twitter, I’m deleting it. FB is next. Go outside and enjoy your life” one meme said. “I will buy Doritos next and fill it with chips” and “I will buy Italy and restore the Roman Empire” are one of my favorites. What is your favorite Elon Musk tweet?
