NBC Reporter Stephanie Gosk Recalls Her Cycling Accident That Left Her Battered And Bruised-‘The Scene Was Grim’
The NBC reporter urged her viewers to take severe precautions when it came to riding bicycles following an accident that she had been involved in last month.
Stephanie had agreed to undertake a 65-mile bike ride, which in hindsight, she was clearly out of her depth. And as the ride progressed, things quickly changed for the worse.
In her comments, Stephanie said: “[I was] not paying attention to the road, that I hit it — a pothole grabbed the front wheel and threw the bike, with me on it, down hard.
“I slid along the pavement. My head hit and my face dragged.” The ambulance arrived on the scene in order to assist soon as possible.
Although she did not lose consciousness, coupled with the fact that she did not appear to have any concussion, the very fact of the matter is that the accident still impacted her.
In the picture here, we can see that Stephanie is certainly a sight for sore eyes. She has extensive bruising on her nose and face, as well as the lower part of her chin. To top it all off, she had a bandage wrapped around her head to stop any potential bleeding.
With that being said, Stephanie was lucky to escape without any permanent damage. She added: “The scene was grim. My face was a mess and so were my hands. My helmet was cracked clear through in two different places.”
This begs the question: will Stephanie be taking up riding anytime soon? Well, as of now she has declared her intention of coming back at some point.
This has also been helped by the fact that her younger daughter Harper had claimed that she should do the Peleton. But jokes aside, cycling is something that Stephanie is really in love with.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “I will be back, I love it.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
