It’s been a while since Lance Archer was in Japan with Suzuki-gun – having signed with AEW. However, he’s back for the G1 Climax, and tonight joins Taichi, TAKA Michinoku, and Zack Sabre Jr. They will face the BULLET CLUB unit of Bad Luck Fale, Chase Owens, KENTA, and newcomer Juice Robinson. Before the match, Robinson would still claim to be IWGP United States Champion – despite Will Ospreay being the official champion.
Juice Robinson Has A Rock Hard Left Hand
Archer wanted to start against Fale, not wanting to wait until Wednesday to fight Fale. They’d compare heights, with Archer saying he’s bigger – before they started throwing heavy blows. However, not at each other – but the opposing teams. BULLET CLUB did better on this – as Juice & Fale focused on TAKA.
Back in the ring, Archer & Fale would keep the fight coming – with Fale bringing Owens in – and Archer didn’t even register the shots before a ripcord Black Hole Slam. Taichi got the tag, and Greco Roman Throat Holds would follow – but Fale didn’t care about this.
Fale would be tossed from the ring with help from Archer, before KENTA & ZSJ hit the ring and would trade strikes and submissions . TAKA and Juice would hit the ring, and Left Hand Of God landed. It was all over following that,
CHAOS & L.I.J Are No Strangers
Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI are flying high after claiming the NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Championships alongside YOH, but many consider Ishii to be the best man to fill out a trio for them. These three will hit the ring tonight, as they face BUSHI, Shingo Takagi & Tetsuya Naito as everyone but BUSHI gets ready to start their G1 Climax runs.
Naito would ask to start with Goto, the man he kicks his tournament off against tomorrow. However, instead Shingo & YOSHI-HASHI would start. They’d trade shoulder tackles, and neither man wanted to budge. Forearms would lead to jabs which led to chops – before Headhunter dropped Shingo.
Naito hit the ring, but Goto would help take him down before Ishii helped them sound the war drums. Shingo would fight back and drop YOSHI-HASHI for a near fall, before Naito hit the ring for some downward elbow strikes. Combinación de Cabrón landed, before Shingo & Naito double teamed YOSHI-HASHI.
Naito would be left with Goto, and would rake his eyes. Full Leg Nelson would be applied, and Naito forgot how to let that hold go.BUSHI hit the ring for a dropkick, before Ishii ran him down with a suplex. CHAOS ran L.I.J down – and Brainbuster got the finish for CHAOS!
