Fans of the Seeking Sister Wife show have watched the family’s story since the first season and have been fascinated. The couple started as a monogamous family until Garrick realized it was his “calling” to have a more prominent family. When his wife, Danielle Merrifield, eventually agreed to have a more prominent family, the couple started seeking their second wife.
Update On The Merrifield’s New Home
They met Roberta “Bert” Rodrigues on a polygamist dating site, and they decided she was the one they wanted; the couple started courting Bert and traveled down to her hometown in Brazil, where a small ceremony was performed to join the couple before plans are made to bring Bert to the United States with them.
Danielle and Garrick divorced legally to allow Bert to be the official fiancée to Garrick so she could be issued a K-1 visa to join the family. The couple is now awaiting the sister wife’s arrival in the states while Danielle seeks a third wife to keep her company.
As part of the Merrifields’ plan to expand their family, they have been building a home set to accommodate a larger family. As the construction of the new home is underway, the couple and their sons—Geremiah and Solomon have been staying in a trailer. According to InTouch Weekly reports, Danielle and Garrick purchased a two-acre lot for $57,500, and with Garrick’s experience with home building, they will be building a two-story home with 3,900 square-foot. It is expected that the house will have seven bedrooms, just enough to accommodate more wives and children for the family, including Bert’s.
The couple spoke about how they will run the house upon completion in an episode of the fourth season. They revealed that Garrick would have the master bedroom while other women would have their bedrooms; however, they would all take turns sleeping with him in his bedroom. They also explained that the room would have a soundproof system to prevent other wives from hearing what goes on in the room. Fans can’t wait to see the home once it is completed.
