One nemesis is enough for Britney Spears but a name from the past seems to be a new foe for Britney and Sam Asghari in Kevin Federline. For those with foggy memories, Federline is the father of Britney’s two teen boys and the two were married between 2004 and 2007—which is longer than I remembered.
Britney Spears and Sam Asghari Deliver Some HEAT K-Fed’s Way After Statements About Kids Avoiding Spears
It seems random as Kevin Federline didn’t go particularly hard during the conservatory battle between the two Spears family members but took the pro-conservatory side.
However, in a recent interview with the Daily Mail, he stated that he and their two boys—Sean Preston and Jayden James–tend to avoid Britney. This included why the two weren’t at their mother’s wedding.
As expected, this didn’t sit well with the couple of Spears and Sam Asghari. Sam would address Federline’s statements saying:
“There is not validity to his statement regarding the kids distancing themselves and it is irresponsible to make that statement publicly. The boys are very smart and will be 18 soon to make their own decisions and may eventually realize the ‘tough’ part was having a father who hasn’t worked much in over 15 years as a role model.”
Oof. Sure-fire Sam coming in with some heat. Like any good married couple or tag team, you don’t let one partner do all of the heavy lifting and Britney Spears weighed in on K-Fed’s statement as well:
“It saddens me to hear that my ex husband has decided to discuss the relationship between me and my children … as we all know, raising teenage boys is never easy for anyone … it concerns me the fact that the reason is based on my Instagram … it was LONG before Instagram … I gave them every thing … Only one word: HURTFUL … I’ll say it … My mother told me ‘You should GIVE them to their dad’ … I’m sharing this because I can … Have a good day folks!!!”
Honestly, this was the one appearance in the Britney-Jamie drama that we all probably saw coming but it took a while. Again, while Federline sided with Jamie Spears and has said that he really tried to explain the whole thing to their kids, he was never really negative towards Britney.
Sure, siding with Jamie could be seen as an attack but he really avoided anything too damaging or challenging to Britney’s character and as a mother. On that front, things on the Britney-Federline front were cooled for the moment.
The Sam-Federline front was a different story with Sam really taking offense to K-Fed’s mild statements about the conservatory and saying that Federline was concerned because his “gravy train will end soon” which explained why he made these statements about Spears.
