WWE Friday Night SmackDown comes to us again. Below you will see the results from tonight’s show plus links to recaps.
Segment 1: The show begins with the nWo making their special appearance on A Moment Of Bliss to celebrate their pending Hall of Fame induction. This was until Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro made their way out to interrupt them. Naturally this led to Braun Strowman running them all out of the ring. Once again Sami made it out without being touched however, due to hiding behind Alexa Bliss.
Segment 2: In the opening match, a direct rematch from the week before, WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley and Sasha Banks took on Lacey Evans and Naomi. A shot from behind from Bayley led to Sasha stacking Naomi up and getting the pin.
Segment 3: Bayley and Sasha boast about their victory. Apollo Crews doesn’t want Shorty G’s help against Sheamus, ends up getting squashed again. Backstage, Daniel Bryan challenges Drew Gulak to a match at Elimination Chamber.
Segment 4: In a quick tag match, Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville defeated Dana Brooke & Carmella with a little help from Dolph Ziggler. A Firefly Funhouse segment aired, with Cena speaking about the history between him and Cena. He blames his loss at WM30 for sending him spiraling into the madness that he is today.
Segment 5: King Corbin has a confrontation with Elias. Otis Dozovic tries to apologize for being late on Valentine’s but she blows him off. Then, the tag team gauntlet match begins. Heavy Machinery and the New Day are the first two teams to start with. After a fairly full match, Heavy Machinery got the mild upset victory with a Compactor.
Segment 6: The tag team gauntlet continues with Lucha House Party being the next team out. Heavy Machinery get another victory, which brings out the Usos.
Segment 7: Heavy Machinery continue running the gauntlet, getting the Usos with a surprise shock quick win, and then upsetting the champions Miz & Morrison with an inside cradle! But they assault them afterwards, leaving them easy pickings for the last team out, Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler. Heavy Machinery fought valiantly but in the end Ziggler just barely eeked out the win and pinned Otis.
