Bryan Danielson is ready to take revenge on behalf of William Regal. When MJF punched Regal in the back of the head with Brass Knuckles, Danielson would be the one who went with Regal to the hospital – only returning to AEW to run MJF out of the building. Tonight we hear from Danielson, who surely has a lot on his mind. Earlier in the night, MJF would call Danielson a gutless coward for ruining his first title defence – and promised revenge.
Bryan Danielson Wants MJF To Face Consequences For His Actions
With Renee Paquette in the ring, Danielson would be asked where the Blackpool Combat Club stands after everything that’s happened. He doesn’t expect Blackpool Combat Club to forgive Regal, he’s done some awful things. However, Danielson would recount his early days training in Texas, being trained by Shawn Michaels – but it wasn’t until he worked with Regal that he became the wrestler he is today.
When he was in the hospital along Regal, Danielson couldn’t help but cry. He made his life better, his career better, this entire industry better. MJF needs to realize that his actions have consequences, and Danielson would call him out. Instead, Ethan Page would come out – saying that he deserves the next shot. He made the finals of the AEW World Championship Eliminator tournament and the final two of the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royale, and if he had the shot last week – he’d be champion right now.
Meanwhile, Danielson is trying to jump the line, and Page would call him vegetable man. Not because of his way of life, but because he will turn him into one if he steps into the path of All Ego. Danielson would accept the challenge, calling Page to the ring for a fight – and Page would say that could wait until next week. MJF would watch in glee, as his two top contenders are set to tear into each other.
HOOK Doesn’t Get Paid By The Hour
Just one week after saving Jungle Boy from a beatdown by The Firm, the FTW Champion HOOK has decided to make a rare Dynamite appearance. Normally only wrestling an AEW Rampage, HOOK remains undefeated in AEW – and intends to keep things that way tonight as he goes one on one with Exodus Prime.
HOOK would send Prime flying with a Capture Suplex, before running him down with a stiff lariat. Some crossface blows would be followed by the Redrum, and HOOK was once again victorious. Backstage, Stokely Hathaway would watch as Big Bill would chokeslam Jungle Boy right into a dumpster.
Darius Martin Falls To Jon Moxley
Jon Moxley is an angry man this holiday season, and there’s only one cure for that – pure violence. He’s got experience taking down members of Top Flight, having beaten Dante Martin in the past, but tonight goes one on one with Darius Martin for the first time. Darius is finally finding his groove in AEW after a series of injuries – getting a win over The Kingdom at Final Battle alongside Dante.
Martin would apply a side headlock as the match began, before being easily shoved off. He’d be dropped with a shoulder tackle, before Moxley hit a back elbow smash – only to be dropped with a dropkick to the jaw. Moxley would take this fight to the floor, driving him head first into the barricade, before being dragged into the crowd for a suplex onto concrete.
Martin would fight back, getting into the ring and dropping Moxley with a dive to the floor. Moxley would fight back, dropping Martin and waiting for a potential count out victory. An X-Plex would land in the ring, before Moxley would go after the previously injured leg of Martin.
He’d be taken into the corner for some heavy chops, before being dropped with a superplex. Hammer & Anvil elbows would follow, with a brainbuster attempted – and Martin landing on his feet. Martin would try to strike with Moxley, but took a kick to the kneecap. Moxley would be stunned with a Pele Kick out of the corner, before a slingshot Flatliner for a two count.
Diving crossbody would be blocked, with Moxley stomping Martin’s head into the mat. Hammer & Anvil elbows would follow, before the Bulldog Choke. Death Rider would follow, and Moxley claims the victory.
