Segment 1: Seth Rollins opened the show to once again thank Rey Mysterio for sacrificing himself for the greater good. He says Rey may not have it in him to actually announce his own retirement but that’s okay because later on tonight he’ll do him the service of handling it for him. This brings out Aleister Black for his match with Seth. The two of them went back and forth in a lengthy, hard-hitting exchange. In the end, Black reversed a roll-up into a flash pin of his own for the upset victory. But afterwards, Seth and his boys assaulted him and Humberto Carillo, leaving them both laying.
Segment 2: Angel Garza continues to flirt with Charly Caruso and hands her a rose. Zelina Vega rips the rose up. HBK picks Edge to beat Orton at Backlash. Lana and MVP continue arguing and she slaps him. Apollo Crews gets to pick his first opponent to defend his US title against. He chooses Kevin Owens. Owens baits him a bit and says he’ll have a really short reign, not particularly nice in spite of getting such a generous offer. The two wrestle and during the match Kev hits a seemingly accidental low blow. They continue going until Andrade and Angel Garza attack them for the Double DQ.
Segment 3: In the match itself, the heels controlled quite a bit of it but in the end Crews managed to hit Andrade with the Toss Powerbomb for the win. Asuka says the Empress will never bow down to anyone.
Segment 4: The Street Profits-Viking Raiders whatever series sees the Raiders win at bowling to make it 2-2. Billie Kay defeated Nikki Cross in a singles match.
Segment 5: Rey Mysterio is speaking from his home and talks about how he’s unsure of how long it’ll be before he returns or if he even can return. He curses Seth Rollins for what he’s done, as did his son Dominic. Nia Jax comes out to berate the Kabuki Warriors.
Segment 6: Nia Jax defeated Kairi Sane.
Segment 7: In a non-title champion vs. champion match, WWE Raw Women’s Champion Asuka took on NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. It was a pretty strong match as one would expect, until the finish which saw Nia Jax come out cosplaying Asuka to distract Asuka, which forced her to stay outside long enough for the count-out. Nia Jax ran through Asuka with a shoulderblock afterwards.
Segment 8: In the main event, Drew McIntyre swiftly defeated MVP. Lana appeared at ringside but had zero bearing on anything. After the match Lashley put McIntyre in a Full Nelson and the show closed abruptly as the hold was being applied.
