All day, WWE fans have been voting on who should be in the ladder match for WarGames advantage. While Dakota Kai & Kay Lee Ray stepped right up, the same could not be said about the men. We’d find out half of the results of the WWE.com fan poll ahead of The New School hitting the ring, and fans get one extra Johnny Gargano match before his contract is up after WarGames! Who is his opponent though? Let’s find out.
Bron Breakker To Face Johnny Gargano, Meeting Edris Enofe
After a commercial break., we’d hear from Edris Enofe. This is a kid who many claimed he would never be anything. Instead, he would give years of his life to the US armed forces, and then was again told there was nothing left for him. He’ll prove this wrong with his debut match tonight against Solo Sikoa.
Back to the ring. Carmelo Hayes would be asked about WarGames – and would simply say he’s the A-Champion and isn’t scared. Grayson Waller called out LA Knight saying he’s the better version of him. Breakker would run down the insults thrown at him from Ciampa – but at WarGames the 2.0 crew will win, and then he’s coming for the NXT Champion.
Tony D’Angleo would ramble for a minute, before we’d get to business – and the winner of the poll is Bron Breakker. So we have Breakker & Gargano, and Gargano would come out to meet his opponent.
They want to beat the guys who put NXT on the map, and tonight Gargano starts to prove them wrong with the Big Bad Booty Nephew himself. Gargano would ask Breakker to prove he’s’ a man – and leave his crew in the back. Breakker accepted, and we have a main event.
MSK Finally Find The Shaman, Legado Del Fantasma Has A Visitor
MSK were on the Road to the Shaman, and didn’t know which way they were going. However, the GPS system called them a dumbass and told them it took five weeks for them to find their way. They’d go to visit The Shaman – who would turn out to be none other than… we’ll find out next time.
At NXT: WarGames, Imperium will put their NXT Tag Team Championships on the line. Tonight, they will figure out who will be their challengers. On one side we have Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza of Legado Del Fantasma, and on the other it’s Kyle O’Reilly & Von Wagner.
This one won’t take five weeks, as Wagner started by throwing Mendoza into the corner. Mendoza kept moving before being run down with a shoulder tackle. O’Reilly tagged in and was slammed down by Wilde & Mendoza before a double dropkick.
Legado would waste time trash talking, with O’Reilly fighting out with a kick to the face before attempting an armbar. It’d be blocked by Wagner, get a tag, and nail a leapfrog to the back before a waist lock pin. Xyon Quinn came to ringside, and we went to a commercial.
Tag Team Championship Match For WarGames Set!
Coming back from the break, Quinn & Lopez would circle before Quinn attacked Escobar. They’d brawl into the crowd, and back in the ring Wilde nailed a dropkick on O’Reilly. Legado made fast tags and beat O’Reilly down. He’d fight free in the neutral corner, before Wagner helped with a big boot.
Wagner got the tag and nailed some big powerslams and an angle slam for a two count. O’Reilly came back in alongside Wilde, exchanging some heavy blows in the middle of the ring. Wilde would dodge the leg sweep and nail a DDT on O’Reilly. Wagner blocked the finisher of Legado, before nailing a huge lariat for the win!
Match Rating: 3.25/5 (*** 1/4)
