Music star, Pink, last month fulfilled a fan’s wish. Pink had a zoom call with a fan of hers, Diane Berberian, who has been diagnosed with bone cancer.
Pink Makes A Fan’s Dream Come True
Diane is a runner, an ironman competitor, a triathlete, and also one of Pink’s biggest fans. She is currently in under care due to cancer. And recently, according to ABC, she completed her final marathon.
Pink Checks An Item Off Her Fan’s Bucket List
Diane posted a clip of the conversation she had with Pink on Facebook, with the caption, “THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK THE TIME TO TRY AND MAKE CONNECTIONS… OUR DREAM CAME THROUGH !!!!! Pink sang ‘We Are the Champions.’ Will try to share later.”
The Berberian revealed that she had teared up when she realized she was going to be meeting Pink, and in the meeting, she said that Pink’s decision to have a meeting was a “beautiful act of kindness.” “You have made my day. I don’t even know what’s on my bucket list now, because you were so far at the top. All other things started to happen so it’s kinda like, ‘okay, I’ll think of something else.”
The singer said to Diane in the zoom meeting that, “You have the kind of bravery that I don’t understand. You are bringing comfort to people while you’re walking through this.”
Diane Berberian Shares How Much She Loves Pink’s Song
Berberian replied that she always says that she is “climbing the stairway to heaven.” She also stated that she had ‘lived large’ even before she was diagnosed, and that she had done “a lot of everything I wanted to do personally, professionally, athletically.”
“Most of my days start with the song of the day and it’s a Pink song usually. When I race, it’s always a Pink song.” Diane shared and also spoke about how she saw Pink, “I admire that she is a woman who seeks her truth, she is strong, she’s bold and that’s who Philly girls are.”
This is because they are both from Philadelphia. Pink revealed in the video that it was one of her fans that let her know about Diane’s wish.
