Nick Cannon has just announced the tragic passing of his son, Zen, as a result of a brain tumour.
Nick Cannon Tragically Announces The Death Of His 5-Month-Old Son From A Brain Tumour
The news sent shock waves around the internet, given that he was only five months old at the time of the death. The star had been looking forward to fatherhood ever since he welcomed his son in June with his girlfriend, Alyssa Scott.
But things soon took a turn for the worse, when the pair realised that their son had started to get sick. As a result, they sought out medical care in order to see what was wrong.
Thinking that it was just a sinus issue, the last thing that they were expecting to hear was that their son had a brain tumour. Immediate surgery was required, but it was not enough to keep him alive.
Naturally, things got very emotional for Nick as he announced this news publicly on his show entitled ‘Nick Cannon Show.’
And as the tears streamed down his face, Nick wanted to pay homage to Alyssa, who not only managed to keep herself together but made sure that Nick was fine at a time where he needed the support of everybody around him.
In his statement, he said: “[She’s] the strongest woman I’ve ever seen. We never had an argument. She was emotional when she needed to be but always was the best mom and continues to be the best mom.”
That experience has left Nick understandably feeling torn between whether or not he will consider having children again. Given that Nick is at the age of 41, he is not going to be getting any younger.
In addition, Nick is already a father to six children. As such, he will have to do a lot of introspection and decide what is best for him.
His following comments confirmed as much: “When people say, ‘Are you going to have more kids?’ that’s a difficult question to ask…I don’t know if I’m going to find love again. I don’t know how deep I’ll go again.”
Nick will need his loved ones around him to get through this. Let us know what you think in the comment section down below. Remember to stay up to date with the latest news on TheOvertimer. Don’t forget to visit ScreenJuicer for great videos, news, and gameplay!
